WTF? Whenever I try to talk about the subject of "this (ever changing) generation" with my wife, she always resorts to "it doesn't really matter" she's all for the light getting brighter. Changes don't matter, the fact that they are willing to change understanding is just more proof that they have "the truth". Obviously, the generation teaching matters to the governing boobs as they feel the need to keep embarrassing themselves to justify their anointing and control.

Difficulty fading out
by Emily1987 inthis is my first post on here so i apologize that it is like an essay!.
my husband and i are currently 'fading out' of the truth.
we stopped preaching in may 2016 and limited meeting attendance in january 2017 and stopped completely in june 2017. my main reason for this was my whole life i have been doing things to please others, even getting baptized to please my mum.

Everyone's situation is different. I'm not an in your face apostate out picketing, but I am a former elder and pioneer (whoop-dee-fricking-doo) ... I received a request or two the first year to talk, then it stopped. That was 7 years ago.
My wife and one adult child continue to be good, regular JW's, they know everything about me. I've hidden nothing. Donate blood, vote, went to another church for a month or two, celebrate everything I can with my other children ... Etc etc ...
Last year the PO (that's what I still call him) and his wife were in front of me at the checkout line at a local store and I was with my young daughter and loaded with Christmas decorations. This elder laughed about it when talking to my wife at the Kingdom Hall.
I've openly told JW's who care to bring it up that I will never go back, I've told some I believe it's a cult.
I did not disassociate, have not been disfellowshipped, am not shunned (by most). Elders I still run into talk to me, shake my hand, and never mention anything about coming back.
What's my point?
Things in JW land don't make sense and aren't consistent.
Best wishes. I hope you are able to truly break free and find peace and enjoyment outside of the organization.

You may PRETEND to care - in reality you are SELFISH!
by wannabefree inthat;s what my wife (and all jw's) gets to hear about us at the kingdom hall today, (hmmmm, i wonder if she'll raise her hand to answer this one) ... .
watchtower study ... today, apostates and others who create divisions in the congregation use “smooth talk and flattering speech.” (romans 16:17, 18) they may pretend to care about others, but in reality, they are selfish.. (the watchtower - study edition (simplified version) 10/17 page 4 paragraph 7).

JW Lawyers and Heavyweights lying in court.
by freddo inin a recent canadian case i've seen (on line video in threads on here) the wt lawyer says that disfellowshipping isn't actual shunning but only a cutting off of spiritual association.
but what case is it and is there a transcript available on line?.
any other "good" examples from the point of view that it proves wt speak out of both sides of their mouths?.

19 Respect the discipline of Jehovah.
God knows that his discipline will benefit everyone involved, including the one who is disfellowshipped. Even though it is very painful when someone we love is disciplined, it can help him or her to return to Jehovah in the future. (Read Hebrews 12:11.) Until then, we must respect Jehovah’s direction to “stop keeping company” with those who are disfellowshipped. (1 Corinthians 5:11-13) This is not easy. But we must avoid contact with them by telephone, text messages, letters, e-mails, or social media.

You call it lying, I call it lying, the Org and fully indoctrinated JW's call it theocratic warfare. Nobody outside of the Organization deserves the pure truth of God's Organization, they just wouldn't get it, they are under Satan's control after all, and that's why it is okay to "lie" or use carefully chosen words to mislead them.

You didn't agree to this in your marriage vows. It's not fair of him to expect you to give up your tradition because of Watchtower rules. As long as you don't expect him to help you set up the tree, decorate it, sing Christmas carols around it, take it down, it's none of his damn business. Don't let him force his Watchtower rules on you. If he doesn't understand that you have rights to your beliefs and traditions then he is a bit controlling.

This is the state required annual meeting for corporate shareholders of the Watchtower printing corporation. Watchtower turned a mandated business meeting it into a religious event where a select number of tickets were made available that gave non-shareholders bragging rights for attending. A few years ago this meeting was turned into a big deal ... Select few Halls were set up to take part.
I'm pretty much out of touch now. I don't know how extensively the Kingdom Halls are connected. I assume in the U.S. it is the majority.
It is an event that now rivals the memorial in importance ... it seems.
