  not sure if this is the right place for this.... just wondering about this.

  it seems to me that most folks who leave "the truth" tend to go athiest or remain in some type of christianity.. anyone know of (or are) xjws who have gone a different route (i.e.

  eastern religions, neo-pagan, wicca, etc.).

  i think that these themes running through all humanity's reaching for god is where we actually connect with god.

  CO calls meeting to discuss association with my parents

  i'm so furious at the moment my keyboard is smoking whilst i'm typing this message.

  i just got informed through one of my contacts that at the recent visit to my parents cong the visiting co brought the elders together to discusss with my father who is still an elder, to decide if he should be allowed to associate or even speak with me.

  who in the hell do they think they are?

  people from all over the united states enjoy the taste of a samoa cookie or a thin mint.

  in fact, during the winter campaign of the girl scouts of the usa, people spend millions of dollars on these delicacies.

  linda* (*not her real name) said that she buys no less than 18 boxes of the cookies every two weeks during the campaign.

  fight shunning with real heartfelt love.. i think it would be cool to let as many people as possible know that their behavior has not.

  stopped us from loving them.

  i agree you can't call everyone and i agree the timing might not be right for all.

  just keep this in mind for an action you can take with the proper people at the proper time.

  1. impress upon witnesses that "worldly people" (such a strange tag) are just like them.

  that you have met many honest loving kind good decent people that have never heard of jehovah's witnesses.

  this will not shake them up completely, but will plant a seed for them to think about.

This will not shake them up completely, but will plant a seed for them to think about. Give good experiences of volunteering with non witness groups. Good news that you have read. This can break down the us them mentality.

  2. Emphasize that you have not changed completely, but in fact have changed very little. My mother says things like "you aren't the person you used to be." I tell her, yes I am, I still have a sense of humor, I still love all the things I've always loved, I'm still honest, caring and a hard worker on my job.

  These ideas go right towards breaking down the wall they have built around themselves.
