What's The Worst Thing You Know Of That A JW Did?

witnesses are supposed to be "exemplary" and not like the "world".

yet some jws are pretty notorious.. did you know of any jws that did some real bad things?.

i knew a pious witness who got caught twice trying to solicit prostitutes.

this isn't as bad as some listed...however....it was a SMALL community...an elders mother passed away...she was a non witness...the worldily family choose to have the funeral in a "church"....the elders son,,,refused to attend in this small town,,because it was a "church" and not kingdom hall....

as people were on there way too the funeral,,,they saw the son plowing his field....the community talked about this for years...he did go the the reception though....shudder....

Were You Surprised That The "World" Was Not As Bad As The Watchtower Claimed?

if you leave the "safe waters" of the organization and go back into the world, you are doomed to misery----per the watchtower.....was that your experience?.

thought i would ask again...when i first started on this site,,,i had my smileys etc...i do not know what happened...but they are gone now???

i am computer stupid,,,to put it bluntly,,,,i have down loaded several sites,,,,but don't know where they are??

i have pushed all kinds of buttons,,,and have no idea what i have done..... i have smileys on my email page,,,but not here on my google home page??

UPDATE: its over

my brother in law left us and went to his heaven to be with his dad today at 1:20pm pacific.

it took his strong body almost two days to give up its fight.

now we can move on..... his daughter is due to have a new baby on may 20th....a very sad and very happy time and the continuation of life..

how awful for you....death--the greatest sadness.....birth...the greatest joy......i hope knowing that people care,,,takes away some of the pain,,,and knowing a 'NEW LIFE" is coming will bring joy to your hearts for many years to come...deepest sympathy... peaches

Disfellowshipping, "Cleanness" and Hockey

witlesses commonly think that the practise of enforced shunning keeps their congregations morally "clean" but this is nonsense.. do you need a new marriage mate?

get divorced and re-married and then go into the disfellowshipping "penalty box" for awhile!

you then wait it out, write a sorrowful letter to the elders ...........and get back in, and you're ok.. ask yourself, does the penalty box in hockey actually stop violence on the ice?
