You know its funny, the Service Meeting last night had the part on "why Jehovah's Witnesses don't take blood transfusions". The source material was the historic reasoning book with its epic flawed logic. As the speaker droned on and on I kept thinking..."What the Hell, Witnesses now can take almost 100% of blood as long as it is fractionated. Here they pride themselves on obeying God's law on blood, yet ignore the fact that they use gallons of blood in factions?"

One sister smartly comments that "when you have bled out,all you need is ringers solution to expand the volume". I thought to myself, "what a bunch of fucking retards. Will ringers solution carry oxygen to your brain? if so she needs some stat because she is brain dead"

People like this woman in the article who died, do so because they have been so confused about the new policy on fractions that they think it is best just to say no to blood. The Watchtower has made the situation even worse by their new convoluted policy that allows lifesaving blood in fractions, but has failed to adequately communicate the fact, so many people still continue to sacrifice their lives to the God of Gene Smalley.

"True christians out of respect for the almighty God, do not eat pizza in any shape or form. This is something that must be abstained from according to scripture. However, some Christians with a godly conscience, might allow themselves to eat minor components of pizza, such as tomato sauce, cheese, bread, onions, olives and pepperoni reasoning that these items by themself do not constitute pizza as a whole and thus would not be a violation of God's standard on abstaining from pizza". It is not our place to judge those brothers and sisters who conscientously hold to God's righteous standard.

they aren't elders now because they were somewhat problem teens.

Is There A Nice Way To Say, 'It's Dying?'?

i got into one of those extended conversations with relatives i haven't spoken to in ages.

it was full of things unsaid and careful avoidance of saying too much about the organization.

lots of nice social hypocrisy, so nobody gets upset in the fairy-tale world of watchtower-ism.. is there any discreet, tactful, inoffensive way to tell them, "the organization is dying"?

Why this religion is dying

Despite aggressive recruiting, they have little growth to show for it. 1.5 billion hours devoted to preaching with a 2.5% increase? Most of the increase coming from children that become publishers
The people within the organization are fearful and exhausted
There is literally no way for an intelligent person to effect change- obedience is the only quality valued
Donations are down- resulting in the need to liquidate assets
People are encouraged to become less prosperous, by quitting work and pioneering. This further reduces the publishers donation potential
The business model of a printing company is outmoded
There is a form of social inbreeding. Witnesses must marry Witnesses. The gene pool is very shallow, resulting in many who are single and miserable with no prospects of marrying
Married couples are discouraged from having children.
Education is demonized, which means that the next generation (non overlapping) will be stupider than the previous generation.
There is an arrogance combined with ignorance on the part of the leaders that prohibits honest admission of false doctrine and or prophecy. This will continue to propel intellectually honest ones out of the organization as they realize that the organization has lied to them.

on this forum, i have carefully read most of the experiences of those who left the jw religion, i have even read experiences that have dated back to 2001, i have read the different circumstances surrounding their exits and what ensued upon leaving.

for the majority, i observed they are better remainning in the religion than leaving.

what benefit is there to strain family relationship because you want to be free?, please tell me, of what value is that freedom?,.

I am walking out of the religion because it is not the truth. I was miserable as a witness because I was expected to believe and teach things that are not true. I don't know where my fade will end up but I do know that life is too short to pretend to believe a lie. I know that when I was on stage, being forced to sell something that I wouldn't buy, that I was hating myself for being a hypocrite.

Within the organization are a group of loving genuinely nice people. That exists in the world also. You can go through your life choosing to believe a lie, that is your choice and I support it if that makes you happy. It still doesn't change the fact that the foundation of your beliefs and confidence is built on a lie.

Again, life is too short to spend your life bowing down to a group of men pretending to speak for God.

how many are there on this board that are also still in the society, especially acting in a position of leadership?

i think it's pretty funny they always talked about how "jehovah would root out the wickedness" yet theres people on here getting invites to "zone visits" that many other blind and faithful people weren't invited to.. .

if any of you are on your way out and have the ability to give a talk before you go, you should cratifly morph a talk into discussion about the origins of the society, by the time its obvious what you're doing you will have given 100-150 people seeds of doubt before they yank you off the stage, and the fact that they would be physically escorting you off the stage when you were simply talking about the "founder" of the society should be alarming and suspicious enough to those watching.. .

I know why they are using a female lawyer. I would bet that Mr. Toole as an Elder is himself guilty for not getting the Victoria WWC card. So the branch is sending in someone with cleaner hands.

i am a registered teacher in western australia and i have a working with children's card, as is mandatory for all who work with children in most australian states, i.e.

victoria, new south wales, queensland, and western australia.. the wwc is more strict than the national criminal history check which many employers in australia now insist on.

the wwc considers not just convictions for child-related crimes, but also allegations, acquittals and spent convictions (where one is found guilty but no penalty is imposed).

Thanks for the info CoCo. I think this case has got some real potential to be very damaging to the organization. Think about it, all seven members of the Governing Body are being criminally charged. Holy crap. I hope this gains some worldwide attention. SNAP might be a good resource in helping to publicize the case.

if we weren't invited, this is the "bragging" information we missed last saturday, oct. 22, 2011, at the zone meeting with tie-in from patterson, ny .

59 locations tied-in plus spanish.

anticipating 258,000 attendance from tickets given out.

Interesting. The math shows that one person was baptized for every 111 existing publishers. Out of those 10,837 baptized what do you bet that 80% were children of current publishers? Pretty terrible results in recruiting. Less than a 1% increase.

To boil it down even more...Assuming 80% baptized were kids or relatives and not from the D2d ministry that means that the past year's efforts only brought in 2,167 from the door to door work. Truly, Jehovah is speeding up the work in this time of the end?
