Excuses to miss the meeting that won't raise suspicion of a fade
by kairos inthe first step to fading is to begin missing the meetings.. "if" anyone misses you, a quality excuse must be at the ready.
this will produce empathy toward you as opposed to suspicion.. 1. car problems ( don't mention that you caused them ).
2. stuck on the phone resolving insurance, billing, etc issues.. 3. sick ( of the meetings ).

Regarding Dates---Have The Witnesses Ever Been Correct On Any Of Them?
by minimus ini can't think of any chronology that has not been changed.
even their "absolute" dates are suspect.

Russell taught that Israel would be restored to the Jews and as a nation. It's funny that about 3 years before that actually happened, Rutherford dropped that doctrine saying that's ridiculous and it's only symbolic. It's like God make it happen then just to show extra proof that WT isn't lead by him, nothing they say happens and then when they drop a doctrine, it happens! lol -

2014 Watchtower Library CD (very discreetly) changed the Insight article on Faithful and Discreet Slave
by Gilgamesh inthe updated article on the "fds" makes several changes although it still lists the article/entry as if it had come from the 1988 edition of insight on the scriptures, vol.
(1co 3:2, 5; 4:1, 2; compare mt 4:4.
at the same time the individual members making up such composite body, or the domestics making up the house of god (mt 24:45; heb 3:6; eph 2:19), would also be recipients of the food dispensed.

Marked. In the Jehovahs Witness green book they use many similar tactics on the history. For example Rutherford taught there was no holy spirit, his whole life he taught no holy spirit since Jesus returned and was ruling through him/headquarters, etc. But the Jehovah's Witness history book makes it seem like holy spirit teaching has always been as it is today. -

Here are some ideas for a WT version script...
JWS:"Hello, we are visiting with your neighbors to show them the truth about God's will for mankind. God is about to destroy everybody who is not on his team and turn the world into a paradise for those who are. God has selected a special group of people called the Governing Body who are known in the bible as the faithful and discreet slave. Everybody who worships and obeys this group of men who issue orders from New York will live eternally."
HOUSEHOLDER: "What about those who do what Jesus commanded, he said those who love one another, don't judge, help the poor and sick and orphans, etc..."
JWS: "It doesn't matter how good, or sincere, or how much you follow what Jesus commanded in the bible, if you aren't following the Governing Body you are unworthy of God's grace and will be destroyed at Armagedon"
HOUSEHOLDER: " How do you know this Governing Body are the faithful slave?"
JWS: "Because each month in the Watchtower the Governing Body publishes, it tells us how they are the faithful slave and we must obey them if we want salvation."
HOUSEHOLDER: "So they tell you they are the faithful slave and you just accept it?"
JWS: "No, the watchtower magazine tells us they are the faithful slave. Also the scripture says the faithful slave would give food at the proper time. So obviously the watchtower telling us to obey the faithful slave who are the governing body are obviously that faithful slave, is that not proof of food at the proper time?"
HOUSEHOLDER: "Have they given any signs or any proof they have God's backing?"
JWS: "Well they are imperfect men, so many things they said would happen haven't happened and the light keeps getting brighter, but those who don't follow them are like Korah who rebelled against Moses and will be destroyed by God!"
HOUSEHOLDER: "If they haven't performed signs like Moses to prove they have God's backing, how do you know you must follow them then?"
JWS:"Because as we said, in the Watchtower it says those who don't obey the governing body, who are the faithful slave, will have no hope of salvation"
HOUSEHOLDER: (giving up on that point) Okay, so what must a JW do, what are the instructions of the faithful slave?
JWS: "You must spend all your time going door to door to proclaim that salvation is at hand for those who obey the faithful slave, this means no higher education because it may corrupt your faith and take away from time of going door to door, no having fun because that takes time, no working out because that takes time, if your elderly parents become needy due to health you must put the preaching work first, you must go to 2 meetings a week and listen to the same information over and over about worshipping and obeying the faithful slave, it's recommended to give all your excess money and will all your possessions to the faithful slave when you die, you may not talk to anybody who has left the true religion because they are against God himself and their lies are stronger then our truth and will trick you into leaving, any funerals must not talk about the lives of the deceased but instead focus on telling those in attendance how following the faithful slave will give them life again, you must cut contact with all friends and family who are not JWs, you must not give any money or time to charities that help the poor, orphans, etc, because the faithful slave needs that money, you must not read the bible and try to learn its message in context, the governing body alone can understand the bible.
HOUSEHOLDER: Woah, no charity, doesn't Jesus command us to do that?
JWS: See, that's the danger! If you read the bible on your own, Satan will enter your mind and make you go against God! That's why we need the governing body!
HOUSEHOLDER: But how do you know it's not the governing body who are corrupting you and lying?
JWS: Because it says so right in the watchtower that if you read the bible on your own, you can't possible know the truth and if you don't follow the faithful slave God will kill you when the end comes!
HOUSEHOLDER: SLAMS DOOR

EndofMysteries
At first not, and I didn't even really investigate whether it bothered me or not but then I got involved with somebody who did. (most non jws). So I examined and researched things. I also asked them if they are pagan of origin, and they know it, why it would be okay for them (being christian), their reply was that they are NOT worshipping pagan gods. WHen they celebrate christmas, it's for appreciation of God having sent Jesus, etc.
I examined scriptures, and many in the new testament say things such as don't judge people on what day they choose to observe or place as higher importance, whether a new moon, etc, but if you observe any day do it for God's glory. So when people do christmas, they aren't worshipping sun and moon gods, it's what it is to them. And just because something was done 2 or 3,000 years ago, you will find 'pagan' origin in almost everything. The days of the week, if you say today is Saturday, you are calling it Saturn's Day, so are you worshipping Saturn by calling it his day? etc? Also with JW's the wedding and anniversary celebrations have so called pagan roots. So for Christians, the adopting was a good thing, it was taking something bad and turning it good.
Holidays also ad tradition and things for families to get together and do things together. So all of those things were what was going through my mind the first few years after leaving.

Do Jehovah's Witnesses Shun?
by lurkernomore injust checked the faq on jw.org as i wanted to show a df'd friend of ours how dishonest they were being about thier shunning policy.. well don't you know they've only gone and got honest about shunning df'd ones:.
'we do not automatically disfellowship someone who commits a serious sin.
if, however, a baptized witness makes a practice of breaking the bibles moral code and does not repent, he or she will be shunned or disfellowshipped.

So where in the bibles moral code does it say, "thou shalt worship and obeyeth the group of men that calleth thy selves the governing body which shalt maketh false claims and prophecies but thalt still obeyest them sayeth the lord."? -

Mom says, "CO says there's only 15 years left!"
by Separation of Powers ini don't typically hear from my mom often, but i tell you, over the past couple of weeks, i have heard from her several times.
you heard the comment about "our way of worship will be altered" and thank you for your posts by the way....but yesterday, she calls and is asking about the kids and then, in typical jw fashion mind you, says:.
"you know, you should really get back to meetings.
-
EndofMysteries
That CO is talking about his own life. Likely he won't live past 15 more years, so he wants to make sure his retirement is secure and bills paid till he dies. Then he'll let the next CO then say another only 15 years to go, and so on and so forth. And the idiots will keep buying it. -

"Again, the message is "I'm successful because of the cult, you can be too!""
I would love many to write to them asking how they can be successful as they show in the videos, etc.
Maybe we'll hear the experiences. "I was concerned about my financial wellbeing, but I skipped college and worked part time for Mc Donalds and did pioneering with my partner, the cart with a heart! We lived a simple life, in a mobile home development that was filled with sexual predators and drug users. After a few years of struggling I was blessed by my bank account magically getting monthly deposits as if I had gone to college and was working fulltime! Now I'm blessed with a nice house in a middle/upper class neighborhood. Once I slacked a bit, I took an extended vacation and the monthly blessing deposit didn't happen. I immediately took the happy cart out and the money started coming again. It's truly a blessing to be able to have a great comfortable life knowing as long as I bring out the cart with a heart and get my hours in, all my bills are taken care of!"

I just noticed this, look at the beginning of the video. That's a BIG nice house. Probably 300k to 500k. Nice neighborhood.
Nobody who is getting out of school these days can afford a house like that if they don't get college education and spend all their time pioneering.
It should have been a run down mobile home opening up the shed. The video is a huge lie!
