Absolutely not! The biggest thing I see holding it back is the culture and those who try to excel at those things being labeled as acting 'too white' or a traitor to their race/culture. Holding back their own culture from advancing then blaming everybody else for the consequences. And I'm talking about today, not talking about 40+ years ago.

That is a scientific fact, that is a biological difference.

Are all breeds of dogs biologically identical?

For math, that would be a cultural thing.

Since it seems most on this board are athiests, then from that standpoint it would make sense that cultures in different environments for thousands of years would have some biological differences because of evolution.

So for math and smarts, if a culture puts more emphasis on education then another, then their beliefs and pursuits as a culture are responsible for their smarts.

For something like sickle cell, chances are a person in the USA who has it would be because of biological reasons of being black. Other races can get it, but black people get it more.

lisa - Asians and math would be because the asian cultures put high value on education and excelling in their careers. Some cultures scorn those who try to excel in their education and call them traitors to their culture so they fail on math. Is it the culture or the color doing that?

I wonder if you are one of the creationists or athiests on this board.

Anybody who is athiest should have no problem believing races would not be equal in everything. Since they would believe everything about everybody are no different than animals, it would equate to saying all breeds of dogs are equal in everything and or denying that dogs can be breed to be more aggressive or more playful, etc, depending on traits.

With cultures seperated by thousands+ of years, brains could develop differently, personality traits passed down, etc.

THAT is science.

Bill Cosby - too much smoke for no fire?

it seems like the list of people who are accusing him of rape and sexual assault is growing every day.

i'm skeptical of single accusations but the number of people and the similar stories seem overwhelming now.. it's not a conviction but to the court of public opinion ... guilty?.

kaik - Is that serious? Did they just say those things out of the blue? Like my father is alive, my mom isn't dating, etc, so if I was you, would she have asked questions to then get to that or did she just say them? (I imagine them being like....."mmmmm something big recently happened in your life. you reply yes. They say..."mmm a death".) Was it like a process of elimination or were those things said without confirming/asking questions?

Yea I heard about the 12 year old. He was at a park, with an airsoft gun that had the orange thing removed and it looked real enough for somebody to call the police and it would be interesting to know what exactly happened that resulted in him being killed. But a real looking gun and a teen at a park, did the police have any dialogue with him or did they see somebody pointing a gun at somebody after being called there and shot thinking he was about to shoot somebody. With all these school shootings and young people getting guns, and many parents or people defending kids having guns, this sort of thing happens, doesn't mean the police are at fault.
