talesin - So poverty alone is the issue? How does poverty equate to the disproportionate among of fatherless black children? Over 70% while for other races under 40%? The poorer somebody is, the more economical to live with family, etc. In poor Mexico they don't have those kinds of statistics. Now if it is poverty alone, how can that be fixed? I know for a FACT many black youth are discouraged from higher education and bettering themselves because it's being 'too white'. But the ones who do are doing good. Also because of the high criminal records, if somebody has an extensive police record by age 16, let alone any record, their opportunities greatly decrease. Is it racism that somebody with a criminal history and school dropout can't get a decent job?

Officer Wilson not indicted in killing of Michael Brown
by Simon inafter a thorough investigation and weighing of the evidence the grand jury has decided not to indict the officer.. the reaction so far seems as predicted - people refuse to accept that the result represents justice despite claims that is what they wanted.. there is now violence and vandalism, including gunshots.
let's hope the police contain the troublemakers.. .

Ahh interesting. The first one makes more sense now. I'm white but I'll say whether white or black, I am bad with faces if everyone has similar haircuts or features. A bunch of same size and build and hair style red headed guys would be as easy to confuse as black guys until longer exposure and notice the distinct features.
The 2nd case does seem unnerving and from your point of view based on those events, I would concur it seemed unwarranted. Unless they don't know the difference between a cherokee and explorer lol.

A day in the life of a Cop...my story. The truth.
by Witness 007 ini work for a mental health unit with 2 police officers we deal with people who have drug and mental health issues.
at times over the last 10 years we have "taken down" some large drug affected men, mainly "ice" these days which is epidemic here, and let me tell you even with three of us it is a huge struggle.
sometimes back up is needed or mace spray which is aweful stuff!

I agree. And for those who are talking about lethal and non lethal. I was surprised a few years ago when the state fair had the police with one of their training videos and lazer guns. They let us try it out. But they are trained for if they have to shoot, it's shoot to kill, NOT shoot to wound.

pacopoolio - Interesting story about your experience with police. What led up to those things though? Did you question or not listen or anything? Did they say get out of the car and you asked why vs just doing it, etc?
Anyway in the area I live in, the past few years almost each year a police officer has been killed on duty. Even on basic traffic stops too. Each time an officer pulls somebody over or approaches for any reason, their is a chance that that person will be armed and will attempt to kill them. Some officers may be power hungry aholes, but sometimes the aggression can be because any resistance increases their chances that this stranger may be dangerous.
The crime statistics are not the stop and search misdemeanors, etc, the FBI posts crime statstics annually and broken down by race, gender, etc, for all crimes from theft, robbing, to drunkedness, etc. Blacks are over 50% for all theft/robbery crimes. They are far below average for drunk crimes, whites are top for that. Asians are the lowest in everything.

There are pictures showing the officer's bruises from being attacked. The jury got all the evidence and facts. According to laws of this country justice was served. If story as officer describes was not a lie, then I side on him. No doubt that Michael attacked him, the only doubt is if in the end he put hands up to stop. As soon as he attacked the officer, he signed his own death warrant. If the first bullet in the car killed him there would have been no contest to anything.
Now THIS CASE below......the big black man who died after a chokehold, I think people should have been charged. Not sure what happened to them but they handled this situation really badly. First he was very upset, he was trying to be respectful even though not cooperating on being arrested, the guy shouldn't have chocked him, his very overweight and should of let him breathe and got off right away, and seems didn't even try cpr or anything when he was dying. And he wasn't a drug dealer or anything, just selling cigarettes illegally or untaxed.

Here is what I think is the real issue, based off of these facts.....
1. Michael Brown's father AND SUPPORTERS mention an assassination of Michael Brown's character and attack on his character.
2. 50% of black males have criminal records and black males commit over 50% of all burg/theft crimes.
Now my thoughts. How exactly was Michael Brown's character assassinated? Did anybody make him steal from the store, and strong arm the store clerk? Did anybody make him attack and punch the police officer? So were they supposed to be quiet about that so they could claim he was just a good boy who never did nothing?
OR
Are those things normal and expected of everybody and every good boy does those things but mentioning it publically is wrong? Since all the supporters are taking revealing those facts as an attack on his character, that tells me that to them it's perfectly acceptable to steal, rob, attack somebody who tells you what to do even police (get out of the road), etc.
So that 50% + of the population of the black community feel that they have a right to steal, rob, and do whatever they want. If a black cop killed him there would have been no problem, but how dare a 'white' cop interfere and when he ends up dead, he is off.
They are rioting for their right to steal and rob whenver they want, and is shown by the looting and burning going on. And many of them don't care about michael brown, they just see a chance to rob and steal amidst the protests for an easier way to not get caught.
Now the other 30/40% law abiders are just being silent on the issue because if they chime in then these criminal protestors will attack them too and they'll be called traitors to their people, etc.
Then the news, Obama, and the stupid used car saleman sharpton, and james riling everyone up too to get more money.

Scientific explanation of how spirit creatures could materialize
by EndofMysteries inin my science class book i was just reading about particles and antiparticles.. i'll just quote a few parts, "every type of particle in nature must also have an alter ego, an antiparticle........one fascinating property of particle-antiparticles pairs is that if you bring such a pair together, the two particles will annihilate each other......when the pair annihilates, the mass of the two particles is converted into energy which is carried away by a pair of photons.....the reverse is also possible, two photons may collide to produce a particle and it's antiparticle-by a process called pair production.. so assuming spirit creatures are made of energy, there is a scientific explanation of how energy can become physical mass, and physical mass to energy.
whether you believe they exist or not, i thought that was an interesting read and a way to explain how they could materialize and de-materialize.. .

A good chunk of this song matches up to a life as a JW.
Here are some lyrics and how I relate it.
My lover's got humour
She's the giggle at a funeral
Knows everybody's disapproval
I should've worshiped her sooner (WHOLE VERSE ABOUT perhaps a spouse who left first and shunned by all, and now the other spouse who finally left should have supported them long ago)
If the heavens ever did speak
She's the last true mouthpiece
Every Sunday's getting more bleak
A fresh poison each week (The GB say they are the 'mouthpiece' of God. This persons other is who revealed TTATT. Each week new light, 'poison' from the GB)
[Chorus 2x:]
Take me to church (take me to the kingdomhall)
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies (I'll worship like a dog at the stage of your lies)
I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife (Tell your sins to the elders so they can sharpen their knife and disfellowship)
Offer me that deathless death (disfellowshipping and shunning is a deathless death)
Good God, let me give you my life
Drain the whole sea
Get something shiny
Something meaty for the main course
That's a fine looking high horse
What you got in the stable?
We've a lot of starving faithful (while the R@F are in poverty the GB are living in luxury traveling the world first class) -

Scientists Should Not Dismiss Genesis So Quickly

the debate.
for decades there has been a long standing debate between science and religion as to the validity of the biblical genesis account of creation.

Why do "Awake" vloumes only start at 1970 on computer disk?...interesting!
by Witness 007 inyet watchtowers go way back to 1950's....i picked up three awake volumes 1967-1969 i was struck by the poor science {aluminium is posion}, demon articles and anti-organ transplant articles.
also much was said about 1975 being the end of the system and "the generation.
" it feels like fred franz was writting alot of these which now is plain embarrasing and better left un-published.. .

The aluminum may have been true, not sure what they were saying about it, but many recent studies link aluminum to many memory and and mental disorders.
