it seems like the witnesses are going to be told that they they now can take blood---at least some of it!
i asked my mom a few minutes ago if she would take blood fractions and she said "no!".
i gave her a head's up on what to expect from the new km.
Jews who ate blood were not killed, simply given a reprimand.
Also they were allowed to sell unbled animals to Gentiles.
These issues are discussed here: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/104153/1.ashx

I take hand garden tools and a pail and I edge the stones.
That's interesting. Have you been doing this for several years? Any particular reason why you do this?

technically, since i am not df'd or dissasociated, i am considered by witnesses as an inactive jw.
i do not actively look to get df'd as i have family that are witnesses.
if i were ever df'd, then i'd deal.
I have given some thought to announcing formally my DA. Then I stopped myself, because to me that would just be playing by their rules. I don't owe any of those "elders" any explanation for my being "inactive" as they like to call some faders.

I'm not very different in my personality. My biggest difference is that I rely on myself to make decisions and not on a bunch of old guys in Brooklyn.

here's one: you can't give blood but you can take a blood fraction (which someone else has to give).
The JW are very quick to refuse "literature" from another church, or denomination from other people.
They only want others to read their magazines propaganda.

have you ever seen a witness get absolutely giddy over placing a measly tract with a neighbor and get up on the platform and tell the "experience" of how the neighbor actually said that he'd read it!
big deal!!!.
in our hall, they loved to applaud over the dumbest things!
At the kindumb hall, it is a no no for a man and woman to sit next to each other unless they are engaged or married.
If a person went to college before becoming a JW it's OK. If another person goes to college after becoming a JW they're "materialistic."

well, i thought i'd start a fluff thread for once, so i'm posting here some of my favorite photos from my many trips over the years.
i hope you enjoy them and they inspire you to take awesome pictures on your own travels (or even your own backyard).
[edited to add...let's hope this formatting helps...jgnat].
Good work, there!
Have you ever taken a candid of a famous person? That would be cool to see.

rather than hijack another thread and inspired by fullofdoubtnow and dedpoets music for the wedding thread i thought i would start a little "dedications" thread - this isn't the sort of dedication symbolised by dunking though!.
(i expect to see ggbg and ofg here forthwith for some romantic dedications).. i'd like to dedicate the following to someone special - "bodies - by drowning pool" .
they probably wont see this, but the thought that counts!.
To someone who helped me find the title to this song, thanks!
