  Suppose I ought to introduce myself.....

  i've left a couple of semi-"humorous" remarks, but not yet said a proper hello....but firstly thank you, to all, for this site and all its comments.i have been lurking on this site for 4-5 years, awake for 5-6 years and seriously fading for the last 4 years.

  i am now "out" and widely considered "out" by the congregation but due being very cautious and playing a very long game, (and having a wife who understand the repercussions of blowing the whistle on the few viewpoints i have discussed with her) i have not been df'd of da'd.

  this forum has been a crutch and guide as well as helping me wake - and the humour many on here use has been a welcome relief.

  Help messy problem

  the problem is i have a baptized witness going out on service door to door giveing comments at kh who for the last 4 years has had sex with at least 10 prostitutes and regularly takes drugs ie speed the cong has no idea he's doing this he says he will never go to elders for fear his family will shun him if df so he continues i know because he tells me everything should i tell the elders or not.

  Ha ha Joe...you sure you were never a dub??!!

  Poopie...sure he's a hypocrite and all...but the old bills right..his real problem is speed. Talk to him privately and insist he speaks to his local addictions directorate, to be honest the girls are probably connected to the whole " self harm" thing he's got going on. He really needs PROFFESSIONAL HELP BIG TIME. BE A REAL MATE AND HELP HIM GET IT.

  Excellent Conversation At Literature Trolley

  yesterday my wife and i enjoyed one of our regular days out at edinburgh - movie, lunch, walk, meal etc.. in the late afternoon while mrs cofty went shopping i had an hour at the excellent museum of scotland and arranged to meet up outside the national gallery on princes street.

  on my way back i saw the jw trolley was at the usual spot on the royal mile.

  there was an older man and a young woman standing well back trying hard to look inconspicuous.

  Fantastic. Thanks for the post link to the blood issue ' I've bookmarked it. I feel for the guy..he's obviously struggling but doesn't want to actively search feeling it to be a betrayal of his god....hence his wish to continue the talk with you, as you brought the information to him.👍👍good one anyway!

  y. Since when can the "owner of all the gold and silver in the universe [Jehovah]," as Watchtower has previously claimed, and Who is supposed to be their backer, not afford such basic costs?

  Well, this is the same god who couldn't defeat a tribe due to their " chariots with IRON RIMMED WHEELS" Judges 1:19!!!!

  i like how it looks in other people but not for myself.. this is a phrase i have heard often from my wife.

  now i am to a point where i am trying to figure it out if this is something all women do or say.

  i can understand how you would say this if you were talking about a type of clothing that doesn't go with your figure, except that you may add the disclaimer... "if i had that figure i would wear this".

  i like this!

  It may be to do with confidence. Sometimes it's because you have a fear that something won't look good - yet deep down you know it's a bit irrational so you don't want to vocalise it, or draw attention to it!! EG I have a thing about my ankles - typically the clothes I like tend to show off ankles , like what we used to call 'pedal pusher'trousers. I know if I say I love them but don't want to wear them because of xyz..people will just say that I'm being silly.

  we are always our own harshest critics - and notice faults that others don't see. Confidence is usually at the source of most people's reluctance to try something different.

  Wow Notnew you really wouldn't have liked my old next door neighbours!

  They were feminist seperatists and whenever a male would ring the house phone they would answer it and yell "so and so, it's for you there's a penis on the phone!"

  The two elders threaten my sister again

  as i reported here in this forum, some time ago, my sister was constantly harried by two elders so as to be submitted to a judiciary committee for apostasy.

  these two elders were constantly hounding her in the street when she walks to go to her job.

  so she had to send them a notary letter in which she wrote that she would attend the judiciary committee only with her attorney.

  This gives the lie to Geoffrey Jacksons' assertion during the ARC that Jehovah's Witnesses are free to leave the religion without harassment whenever they wish - that elders are not " policemen" to chase them down!!

  Are You Raising An Introvert?

  its not easy being an introvert in an extrovert worldespecially when youre a kid.

  it is even more difficult if none of the adults in the kids life recognize that the child is an introvert.

  this doesnt happen only when the childs parents are extroverts, but also with introverted parents who have never understood their own introverted nature.. .

  ts apparently rare for females to be diagnosed with aspergers because women deal with it differently

  and its a difficult thing to diagnose in itself.

  there are certain criteria you have to meet to be an aspie,

  but its a much wider spread thing than is recognised as it so often goes unnoticed.

  it also comes with heightened senses in this and that, but not always.

  like a more settled kind of savant.

  but still with unnoticed but massive disabilities socially.

  such as alsmost self damaging honesty

  irrespective of others feelings.

  I think they get termed borderline personality disorder, its horrible, I've witnessed what I now believe were girls with aspergers get turned on by others...horrible to watch. And the poor girls don't pick up the social cues...which looks like they are being intentionally antagonistic, which continues the cycle...utterly misunderstood. How they suffer.

  Edit: but you are right not a disability of and in itself...in fact I believe essential for human evolution ...higher brain power thinking outside the box or the " herd instinct"
