i wasn't there, but i know of a case where an elderly sister was on an assembly program - did her part, went back to her seat and died....everyone thought it was so wonderful that she died after doing the part - such a privilege, all that sort of bizarre reasoning.........she was always a very nervous type and i always wondered if the stress of the whole thing was what did her in......

As a JW - Did you See Meetings Continue in Spite of Medical Emergencies?
by flipper ini was talking the other day with a fellow board member about medical emergencies occuring at meetings and how we both agreed that we ( while jw's ) had never seen a meeting stop or be cancelled due to medical emergencies experienced by a fellow jw.
the wt society trains jw' s to lose their authentic human feelings or any empathy towards others physical or emotional sufferings many times.
so many times at meetings , in spite of someone suffering a serious medical emergency it was " the show must go on " type of attitude displayed by congregation elders.. my first experience at seeing a medical emergency at the kingdom hall was an older sister who had an epileptic attack.

yeah - i remember one in particular where ignorance reigned supreme. a young man passed out while doing a part - there was an EMT in the audience.....they got the guy off the stage and out back, and some idiot elders took over and dismissed the EMT....wouldn't let him do what he was trained for. It all ended up okay, but seriously, the bozoes could have done serious damage depending on what really was the issue with the sick one. I hope they have better procedures in place these days and call 911 instead of trying to play medics that they aren't.........

Publisher's I D Card?....
by BluesBrother indoes anybody know if all "publishers" still carry one of these?.
sister blues came home from the ministry and was a little nonplussed because the c/o had said that publishers were not agents of the congregation.
they were just concerned neighbours visiting ........this was in the context of 'how to deal with 'no callers' signs' ...... no, i don't get it either, she has not been issued one of these since she moved to a new congregation and i said that this card would put a lie to that statement.

hahah - i remember them....they go waaaaaaaayyyyyy back. they had that booklet too with a page long blurb each in a different language, in case you ran into someone who didn't speak english...you'd have to give it to the hh to read for themselves.....can't say i ever used it.... you'd get a free meal card too for conventions if you were a hot-shot pioneeer.

Anthony Morris III... Did he really serve in Vietnam? Something doesn't quite add up...
by Calebs Airplane inborn in 1950, he apparently became a regular pioneer in 1971.. but wait.... let's just say that he enlisted (or was drafted) in 1968 at age 18.... depending on the branch of service, he would have to complete anywhere from 2 to 4 years of service.
yes, duty in hot combat zones was usually limited to 6-months at a time but you still had to serve a total of 2 to 4 years depending on the branch of service.
assuming he only served 2 years, he would have been 20 years old and discharged by 1970.... how did he get witnessed to, complete a book study, become an unbaptized publisher, get baptized and then become a regular pioneer in less than year???.

the expression "JDUB"
by wannaexit ini've heard the expression jdub coming out of the mouths of a couple of witnesses.
does it mean they know stuff about this organization and could possible be visiting sites such as jwd?.
this is leading me to believe that there are a lot more witnesses that have realized that their religion is a scam..

'on long held dogma?' - so they are admitting it is nothing more than "dogma"??? if that was the actual word used, interesting admission.
parpharsing, do not rely on watchtower, awakes, and all societys resources, do you own studying, read the bible first, learn new material. this will free brothers from trivial questions and problems encounted by unlearned witnesses. do not expect everyone to read and study your material, get out and do it yourself! ? - are you freakin kidding????? your own studying - learn the bible - learn new material - they take that advice and their assembly halls will be empty - except for those who absolutely positively can't detach themselves from a group. AND "unlearned witnesses"??????? that has to be an oxymoron - with all due respect to the intelligent minds on this forum who were formerly inveigled in this religion - to say that from the platform is pretty damm insulting.

billy the bethelite - good one, except you missed one major point. those male models typically prefer other males...as opposed to females...
to the ladies, such a waste of exquisite human flesh.............
