Does anyone have a link to a video of a JW guide explaining the suit of armour? It will be much appreciated.
This video powerfully demonstrates WBTS spiritual blindness (for me at least).
The spiritually blind JW guide cannot discern the spiritual suit of armour at all - if I remember correctly he does not mention or explain a single component of it, whilst indeed talking about Eph 6:14-17.
what do you people here on the forum think of the new jw website.
i find it strange how when i was jw they made a big deal out of the internet saying it was bad.but now they new this new website and they keep promoting on their literature..

The (real) truth remains important to me.
I cannot accept false definitions of what an apostate is.
Apostasy is "spiritual unfaithfulness".
The Watchtower by claiming a relationship with the "God of Abraham" whilst prostituting itself with the "god of religion" is GUILTY.
It is no accident the so called "publishers of the Good News" are ignorant of the "Good News" according to Paul, Moses, Isaiah and Psalms. It simply is not in their hearts or on their lips.
The are simply too busy lusting after the "god of religion" and his VISIBLE golden calf the WBTS.

FrankieGoesToHollywood, whilst the GB will not admit it they have seated themselves in the seat of Moses (mediator).
Their publications have advised the R&F that Jesus is not their mediator.
Several decades ago we were told to stop ending our prayers with "in the name of our mediator Jesus".

i think there are many that still want to believe in a god but just aren't sure.. personally, do you believe in a god?.
are you a "spiritual" person?.
In believe in the existence of two main gods, who are spiritual fathers of the human race, in scripture.
Our evil step-father, the "god of religion" (Satan the Devil, John 8:44).
Our heavenly father, the "God of Abraham" (Yahweh).
Jesus is our older brother (Heb 2:11).
I have come to know our evil step-father intimately through religion.
I have come to know our heavenly father intimately through his liberating message (the unabridged gospel about Jesus) in which he outlines his "custody battle" with our evil step-father, who does his best to subvert and obfuscate this generous message (2 Cor 4:4).
I identify as SBNR (Spiritual But Not Religious).
I do believe in the Bible, although no longer from and within a (legalistic, moralistic, ethnocentric and Gnostic) religious framework/worldview.
The Bible takes on a very different complexion/nature and has a very different intent when evaluated from and within a gospel/spiritual framework/worldview. This is the essence too of what Ray Franz so well explains in ISoCF.

if you could teach me one thing to convince me not to believe what would it be?
for instance what has the wt taught about evolution/science or mans existence that is wrong and could possibly change skmeones mind?
and the more important question, why is it a creator couldnt allow for species to evolve?
I believe God wants us to exercise free choice and make up our own minds.
There must be many lines of enquiry one could follow to deepen one's understanding of the world beyond our 5 senses, if we chose to.
Some that seem to stand out to me:

Sudden awakenings can be quite chaotic and stressful.
Anyway most of us probably remember how much courage our first steps into the unfamiliar took. Congratulations (especially for having a backbone and not being a coward, Rev 21:8).
If possible, take your time to process your unfolding realisations.
Each person and each circumstance is unique.
Some may be able to hang in there longer than others and do a lot of good.
I benefitted tremendously from some articles Raymond Franz made sure were published before he left.
If your inclination is to pursue faith and spirituality, I would suggest avoiding too much negativity about the Watchtower at first, while you make a study of these great articles (and maybe also his book "In Search of Christian Freedom").
Alternatively if your inclination is atheist or agnostic others here may be able to offer pointers.

this is my first post on jwn, and i would like to take a few lines to introduce myself.. i currently am still in the organization, though my conviction in the last 1-2 years is more or less agnostic/atheist (closer to atheist).
i am an ex-elder and mts graduate, having served in another 3 congregations, apart from my home one.. the reason for the above-mentioned conviction shift has to do with science and rational, logical thinking generally, and with the grand theory of evolution, specifically.
it took me long, endless sessions of hard reading and study of serious scientific literature (plus cross-matching all the quotes and claims in jw evolution-related literature), to finally make the shift from utterly firm religious belief to doubt, and then to lack of religious faith.

You're in good company - lots of likeminded persons here.
Maybe you'll allow me, as a person of faith, to point out that "religious faith" is an oxymoron (and a lie).
