  if you write an actual review of a book (not just spout opinions about the religion) your book reviews can actually be approved by amazon.com and have a fairly widespread audience.. and it's therapeutic.. revelation book.

  i am new to the forum, but i am suprised to see people that claim to be anointed.

  it really frustrates me.

  why would god visit you and bless you in a religion you now recognise as false.

  Hey snare&racket. A belated welcome!

  It seems most of the posters here who profess faith in Jesus, know that in the NT/NC scriptures HE alone is "the anointed" (or "ho Kristos" which is always correctly translated "the Christ" even in the warped NWT).

  Contrary to their own Bible, the spiritually blind, confused, inebriated and insane Watchtower refers to a small group of fallen men as "the anointed", making them "the Christs" - in other words false Christs - a supposedly ruling religious clergy class who mediate between God and man (the dumb sheeple class).

  trthskr, there are many here who understand exactly the "cognitive dissonance", fear and identity crisis you are experiencing in facing the truth. There are many here who can help, if and when you are ready to be brutally honest with yourself.

It seems their "militant ignorance" and "malignant self-righteousness" (aka evil hearts and minds) render them legal captives of the deranged thinking of the "god of religion" who transforms himself into an angel of light and a "friend" of humans.

  simple yet very visible observation about cults and other more mainstream religions too...

  i now wear a sexy goatee and stach for cosmetic reasons actually...and of course this is not really allowed without penalty in usa jw world....they control so much of your life by endless pharisaical rules...and esp those about dress and grooming....they only allow hair a certain way on the male face...over the lip only....they do not control hair on the face of women interestingly...but funny thing...the amish require a beard...but the reason it looks weird is they forbid hair over the male lip...lmao!!!

  !....and another cult....the hasidic jews require full beards and looooong burns....plus the funny hats and garb....hardcore muslim is full beard....mennonite wimmin no makeup and old timey full garb and some do have beards lol.

  i researched it but still do not understand why so many religions try to dictate how god wants us to groom our beards......oompa.

  Jesus denounced legalism in Matthew 23.

  The Watchtower denounces legalism ONCE only (g79 6/8 pp. 27-28). This was likely written by Ray Franz, just before the Pharisees and Sanhedrin expelled him from the synagogue of the "god of religion", in obedience to John 9:22; 12:42-43; 16:1-4.

  Legalism is a powerful mechanism for the spiritually blind, confused, inebriated and insane ruling religious clergy class to possess and control the dumb sheeple class.

  Please can we all have a go at describing and celebrating our different NEW IDENTITIES, versus our OLD WBTS IDENTITY?

  some of us are journeying to a new identity, others may feel they already have a new identity.. although we likely have gone in many different directions, we share a common past which only ex-members can really understand and explain.

  please could we each respectfully share and celebrate our unique perspectives of where we have come from, and where we each are now at on this journey?.

  Old: Spiritual Stockholm Syndrome. Blindly and passively believed, supported, justified and rationalised "a morass of inconsistencies", half-truths, outright lies, prejudice, ignorance and insanity, whilst mindlessly following the apostate ruling religious Sanhedrin and apostate clergy class as my mediator.

  Middle: Gradual awakening (through a relentless pursuit of the full unabridged "good news" according to scripture). Shocked, horrified and devastated when the penny finally dropped that the WBT$ (my only and favourite religion) is an irreformable and illegitimate con start-to-finish, and a creation of the "god of religion" (the devil who transforms himself into an angel of light).

  New: Simple Jesus follower on an active personal journey of spiritual and psychological healing and enlightenment. Non-religious. Non-denominational. Non-sectarian. Non-hierarchical.
