The new "Generation" Understand and Idiocracy
by lepermessiah ini think i have have a new clarification on this new generation teaching.. in the movie idiocracy, the main character is cryrogenically frozen and awakens 500 years in the future.. since he is still relatively "young", he could be considered to be of the same "generation" of the people from the future.. the movie also shows a world where dysgenic pressure has resulted in a uniformly stupid human society devoid of individual responsibility or consequences: so, they would easily buy the "generations" teaching.. i think the wtbs is telling us two things - that we will soon be able to successful freeze people and that they will eventually be proven right.. just like the movie, the slogans and speech of the future will be dumbed down.. "millions now living may never die" will become "many of you mf'ers won't die" and etc........ i can feel it now.....its all very clear..

Have you been practicing the new Songs?
by lepermessiah inthe other day, i finally got to hear one of the new "kingdom songs" .
it was hillarious when first, no one knew the song and mumbled their way through it, and then second, when the speaker reminded the congregation that they have been encouraged to practice learning the new songs at home!
lol!!!!

The term Generation X
by lepermessiah injust another log on the "generation" fire....... i was researching the term "generation x" and its basically agreed upon that it is a term used for the group born between 1961 to 1981.. the generation before that in the usa, called the "baby boomers" was slightly shorter.. what is interesting is that gen x is also referred to in the usa as the 13th generation - counting back to the founding of the country in the 1770's.. so, again...... why is the wt telling us that a generation can span for decade after decade, crossing centuries???????.

by lepermessiah inis there a bigger @$$hole on the planet than this guy?.
here come the spin doctors...... dr. robertson never stated that the earthquake was gods wrath, the statement read.
if you watch the entire video segment, dr. robertsons compassion for the people of haiti is clear.

Jeremiah 10:23 - Have you used it against the WTBS
by lepermessiah inthe wtbs loves to throw that scripture around.. we shouldnt follow goverments because it is not up to "man who is walking even to direct his steps".
we shouldnt follow the world because it is not up to "man who is walking even to direct his steps".
but - we should follow a group of men "the faithful and discreet slave" ?

Is the Door to Door Preaching Obsolete?
by lepermessiah ini wanted to get some opinions on this.. the last few years i was active as a jw, i thought that the door-to-door preaching work was the biggest waste of time.
you rarely got anyone home, those you did get home were rarely interested, and it seemed like a huge waste of resources.. in line with that thought, i was speaking with a gentleman at work the other day - he is a very active pastor in the community, and him and i have gotten to be pretty good friends - we have had a ton of interesting conversations.he recently moved his church to a bigger location due to past and expected future growth.. he was telling me that one of his big concerns was the fall-off of church attendance in our area.
he had a company actually come in and do a study for him with census information, demographics, etc.

Favorite Ozzy Guitar Player?
by lepermessiah ini was curious what some of you metal fans thought..... randy rhodes was a legend, but i like jake e. lee and zakk wylde too.. i was just listening to jake e. lee's band "badlands" - i know a lot of people didnt like jake, but were also comparing him to randy rhodes.. (if you like 80's metal/zep-influenced rock, that is a cool debut album).
jade's song / winter's call from badlands is awesome.
check it out on youtube if you havent heard it.. .
