Which church has the best music?

back when i was "inactive" for the first time and single, a girl at the mall invited me to her church.

i had never set foot in another place of worship before and things started out with a bang, literally.

there was loud music- with live drums crashing out the beat.

Did you ever clean parks as a JW?

i remember several brothers who did this and sometimes when they went out of town our family would do their route.

they would bid on public parks to clean and as you might guess the job involved picking up the trash and cleaning the bathrooms.

the pickup would get pretty smelly from all the trash bags in the bed and the day would end at the dump.

Wetherefore urge all baptized males to take a fresh look at their circumstances and ask themselves, ‘If I am not aministerial servant

or an elder, should I analyze the reasons whyI am not serving?

OK - I will take you up on that!

Here is a fresh look at my circumstances, Brothers!

1) I dont go out in service

2) I barely attend the meetings

3) I think that most elders are Pharisees

4) I think the WTBS is an unloving, uncaring authoritarian group

5) I have no desire to be run like a dog with endless parts, meetings, etc.

Sign me up!!!

i was having a conversation with a younger guy at work - he barely knew who the who was....... he was telling me that he recognized the songs but thought they sounded pretty rough.. i told him that i wish he could have seen them even 10 years ago - i saw them live in 2000 and roger still sounded awesome, and pete was still.....pete!.

the real big loss was losing the ox - john entwistle was so important to that band.

he was amazing live....... moon was a huge loss, but after je passed, i really wish they would have stopped performing live as the who.. here is an awesome taste of him in action.......rip ox............ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvl39lbzgmw.

I should have pointed out that I did enjoy the show at the Super Bowl .....

They still sound good - I just wish some of the younger people I was talking with could have seen them in earlier years when they really blew you away with their performances.

I hope I look and sound as good as Roger and Pete when I am creeping toward 70!!

This is such BS - a TOTAL LIE!!

The November 15, 2008, Watchtower, pages 14 and 15, paragraphs 12 and 13, states:
“Some individuals stop preaching and attending meetings because they have committed a serious
sin. They may feel that if they confess their wrongdoing to the elders, they will be disfellow-
shipped. But they will not be expelled from the congregation if they have discontinued the un-
scriptural practice and are genuinely repentant. (2 Cor. 7:10, 11) Instead, they will be welcomed
back, and the elders will give them the spiritual help they need. . . . The elders will know how to
assist anyone desiring to return and live in accord with God’s will. Loving discipline may be re-
quired. (Heb. 12:7-11) If the person acknowledges that he has sinned against God, has ceased to
engage in wrongdoing, and is truly repentant, the elders will help him, and he can receive Jeho-
vah’s forgiveness.—Isa. 1:18; 55:7; Jas. 5:13-16.”

This is the issue that was the final breaking point for me.

I wrote the WTBS in regards to that WT article AFTER a loved one was DF'ed after 5 years inactive.

The loved one had taken all proper steps in coming back (great attitude, "repentant", etc) and yet was STILL DF'ed for things she had done 5 YEARS previously!

I would tell you what the response was from the BORG, but I shredded the letter about an hour after I received it, so you can imagine what the tone was.......
