Holidays are a hard time for some...
by Billygoat ini really try hard every year to keep christmas in perspective.
the tree is lovely, the smells of good food are yummy, presents are great to give and receive, but i really try to remember that it is a time of celebration and family.
it is a time for me to celebrate the birth of my friend jesus christ.

(((((Andi)))) ((((Jerry)))) I've officially adopted you as my older brother! I hope Roo and Jade don't mind having a 7th Japanese sibling. Would your father mind?
Of course we wouldn't mind. I am thankful too for having Jerry in my life, he's the best!!! If it weren't for him, I might still be in dubdom. Merry Christmas to you and Mozzer.

Dallas Apostafest Pics!
by cruzanheart inokay, i'll start it off!
it was a fun weekend -- on friday night we had a fairly quiet (for us) gathering at xenawarrier's and lauralisa's hotel room with hors d'oeuvres and then a nice dinner at gloria's.
saturday was lunch at sonny bryan's bbq and then off to get some culture at the dallas museum of art.

A Bean In His Ear
by cruzanheart inyes, friends, you heard it correctly: after jackson spent thanksgiving weekend in the hospital, and after jennie got strep throat the weekend after, our jackson is continuing the madness and mayhem.
he says he got "silly" at school and stuck a bean in his ear, and then panicked when he couldn't get it out.
we took him to the minor emergency clinic and were told that they can't get it out either because it's waaaaayyy up in the ear canal.

ummmmm........I got a barbie shoe stuck up my nose when I was little but after several hours of wailing, my mom got it out after I went to sleep.
Also a friend of ours son put a bean up his nose and no one knew until it started sprouting and he has a nasty sinus infection.....yuk......that one took a specialist too.

i promised i'd start a thread about it and if that person doesn't post the pic they sent me this morning, i will.

My story
by ChimChim ini was never baptised because i was to young, i was in it until i was 5 years old.
but it ruined my life and still is because my dad, nanny, grandfather, my step nanny, my aunt and uncle...all on my dads side of the family are still in it, so i get lectured alot about things that have to do with the "truth" or i hear him talking about and all i think it, "what a bunch of garbage.
he never really yells at me, i don't think he can because he barely ever see's me, i try to avoid going there as much as possible.

Thank you for your story Chim Chim. I left the borg when my son was just 5, he's 14 now. What you posted is one of the reasons I left and my divorce soon followed. When my son is with me, he has a normal life, with friends from school and lots of socializing. He still has to deal with the borg stuff too just like you when he is at his dads, but at least you have the relief when you are with you mother and other family. Be strong and most of all be happy.
