we've just got back from out holidays after travelling with 2 young kids for 24+ hours and logged on to see the same old people complaining about the same old things with the same worn out arguments.. the topics seem to be along the lines of:posters should be allowed to say anything they want.we want absolute free speech and seem to be under the mistaken illusion that the usa has it.there is mass moderation happening on this forum and censorship is rife.
... and so on.. all of these claims are utter crap as far as i am concerned.. now, i am not going to put up with people trying to stir things up and interfere with the majority of posters who want to use this forum properly and see me and moderation as the main topic of conversation.. keep harping on and you will be deleted.
harsh?

ah yes, major league baseball is about to shoot itself in the foot again, as the player's union has set an august 30th strike deadline.
personally, i feel that these bozos (owners and players included) can't be so dumb as to actually jeapordize this season, just as they ruined the 1994 season.
how do you feel about a possible baseball strike?
Gopher, good points made from the perspective of a Twins fan. I have been watching the FOX broadcast of the STL - Phil game today, and the announcers were just commenting on the effect the strike could have on the Twins fans, who first had to endure the possible folding of the team, and now have to deal with the possibility of a great season being ruined by the strike, should it happen.

How do you feel about a possible baseball strike? Do you care? Were you one of those who 'left' as a fan after the 1994 work stoppage? Do you feel that baseball has already been ruined by greed and disregard for the fans?

an earlier story by radio free europe and justin burke entitled "u.s. embassy asks georgian authorities to protect jehovah's witnesses" proved quite accurate.. http://www.eurasianet.org/resource/georgia/hypermail/news/0063.shtml .
today's georgia times carried an article under the heading "orthodox followers smahed up the jehovian congress.
" it seems that jws were planning some type of convention in tbilsi, when approximately 100 men dressed in black raided the place and burned the building down.. http://www.geotimes.ge/religion_8.htm
Odd how the story terms it an "accident" when in fact "incident" would be more like it.
Moe, you cutie, I love the egg pic!
I'll take mine sunny side up, or scrambled. I like them with pita bread and a type of arabic cheese on the side (pronounced: ah -reesh.....gutteral sound on the r.)
i seem to recall someone talking about having the list of points for the weight watchers point system diet.
my sister and some of her co workers are planning on going to a weight watchers free meeting.
i told her of course the will have you pay up , and it is not that expensive, but i told her i might can get the information from someone on the internet.
Lyin', glad you liked it!! I didn't want to make light of your post, but I couldn't resist taking a shot at The Subway Spokesman himself.
dolphins, beautiful creatures, have you ever seen one, swam with them or tried communicating with them?
what relationship do you have or ideally would like to have with dolphins?
plus if dolphins could communicate with us quite freely, what do you think they might have to say?
bboy, that was great!
Dolphins - adorable creatures, I've always liked them.
Miami Dolphins - that's a different story.
elvis is the king baby!
it is hard to believe that 25 years have passed since elvis' death.
most his songs are "dated" imho, however, his "style" truly lives on.
My fave song from The King - probably Kentucky Rain. In The Ghetto was good also. The guy had a lot of 'em, so it's hard to pick.
One of my favorite all-time Elvis albums, is, believe it or not, "Elvis Country" with The King doing Country-style tunes. No hits are on the album, but every song is good.
Oh, and a theory by my brother (who admits it's a bit far-fetched).....that in a few hundred years, Elvis might well be considered The Messiah by people living in the future. The reasons - he changed everything, drew a large following, and people reported seeing him after his (premature) death.

Weight Watchers? C'mon now. All anyone needs to do is eat at Subway. Just ask Jared.
On my (evil) wish list: Jared gains all his weight back, as he discovers that the "Subway Diet" has a boomerang effect on his body.
you might think i'm being picky here, please dont take this the wrong way.
the thing is, i'm stuggling with my health at the moment and am going in hospital to see if my cancer has spread.. heres my gripe: some people (noone on this board) say to me, over and over, that they know someone who had skin cancer and they're fine now....how they can just remove the mole and everything is fine.
well for the purposes of educating people:.
Sirona, my heart goes out to you! I did not know you had been battling cancer. My oldest sister has been fighting breast cancer and it's been about three years of an uphill battle so far.
The information you provide is absolutely correct and essential. Too many people treat skin cancers lightly.
You will be in my thoughts! Please update us on your condition when you can. Thank you!
