i'm going to be honest and from the heart when i say that for 40 years in the jw religion i was very happy in my ignorance!

man, what a trip it was.

i loved every minute of it but then i was absent the bad in my religion.

Hi hold me; Thrill me, Great intro. I can't say all my JW experience was bad. My Childhood was a mess, but once I reached adulthood things were good, until I was appointed an elder and saw the hypocrisy and double standards in action.

Paranormal activity in a room at Ohio University

why this room (no 428), located at ohio university, is unavailable to students?.

it has been boarded up and closed off because of various paranormal reports regarding the room.

poltergeist activity has been felt: objects flying across the room, doors that open and shut by themselves, and dark shadows appearing and disappearing without explanation.

and by loving i don't mean, "in order to release all the jews from slavery god @$$blasted the egyptians with ten plagues because he was so loving to his chosen race"..

from so many posts and conversations on here, you'd think over 1/2 the posters here possess doctorates in theology, physics, biology, etc.

i'm curious aside from the books and research people have done here, what degrees they have.

to start, i just got an aa and going straight through full time to an mba.

Want to be successful and get ahead? Learn to be political in your job - your work usually comes second to that.

Most senior level roles in the corporate world require political astuteness and a high emotional quotient. I was never much of a political animal but despite that I have a great job that ticks all my boxes.

do you want to know why i think people don't believe in god?

well i believe people don't want to believe in god because they are scared.

they know that if they finally do gorge the confidence to believe in him, he might discipline them for their skepticism.

Thank you for enlightening me, I thought my disbelief was due to lack of evidence, but alas it's fear.

A degree can help open the door, but success once you have stepped through that door depends on many other factors.

I have Higher National Diploma in Chemistry (a UK vocational course which is supposed to be the equivalent to a degree in Chemistry) and an MBA for which my HND was considered a degree equivalent for me to gain entry.

she passed faithful to the end to them!

just found out (second hand of course) and by someone on here that my faithful jw mum passed away within the last couple of days, dont know the exact day, and what cause, she spent the last few years living with my fanatical sister, she was 65 and survived my father by 10 years, bitter, angry and hateful till the end and never as so much enquired or asked how her 2 grandchildren ever were , they are 5 and 7!

feeling a mixture of emotions right now, they were lousy parents in all honesty, she suffered health wise so maybe its for the best, dont even know when the funeral is!
