Live in the mountains and vacation in New York. I mean, if money were no object, why stop at one villa?

If you feel deceived
by Pinku inyou may be feeling deceived, and may be thinking:.
if jws were gods people, why did they become exactly like the catholic church of the middle ages turning themselves into dogmatic folly?
while claiming to be gods appointed channel on earth, how could they become a cult of intolerance with its raging commanders, a cult where all questioning is banned, and shunning is openly encouraged?.

Yeah, Vincent Van Gogh may not be the best example. He led a tumultuous life.
If you want to talk successful, check out Picasso. He got to enjoy the fruits of his labour and the adoration of fans in his lifetime. He lived a long, and embraced many loves.

A no vote is good for Canada, too, as I am sure Quebec is watching. Right now Canada has access to three oceans. It would be unwise to lose direct access to one.

What is a morally upright life?
by jgnat inis it relative, or do all human societies and cultures hold at least some things to be good?.
i don't think right and true is "universal" other than what is right and true for people.
a dolphin or a praying mantis may have alien perceptions of what is "good".

Pinku, because of our native myopia, we call universal what is good for people.
Has the Praying Mantis deteriorated from a sainted form?

EBOLA -why should America take the lead in handling it?
by hamsterbait inmillions have died in africa from civil wars where the governments have squandered money on bombs guns and tanks, whilst allowing millions more to die of malaria, diarrhoea and other treatable diseases.
thousands more have died in nigeria from religious killing than ebola.. and now big bad america is the one they all turn to (in mainly muslim countries) to save them, just like kuwait did in 1991.
(condemned after for their interference).

You just can't throw money (or troops) over the fence and hope for the best.

It is in the world's best interest to get on top of this disease. The US is definitely a leader in aid, but it is certainly not alone.

the flood, mammoths, elphants, and food.
by Crazyguy inmy question is since it looks as though mammoths were alive after the flood and we know elephants are then how much food was needed to feed just these four animals for the time they were on the ark.
also was the ark, 500 feet long, big enough to hold the amount of food needed for just these 4 animals.. .

Agreed, Vidiot, though hubby hated it. Not "accurate" enough for him.
I thought it was a kind movie for Rusell Crowe, who got to exercise his thespian chops. That Noah had a very, very complicated relationship with his God. I am also pleased they included the drunk and naked scene.

Here are our historical Canadian flag designs:
This is what we adopted in 1964:
I'm with others. It's all motherhood and apple pie and all that, but flag design is the least of my worries. There's the matter of settling disputes, separating administrations, and establishing a currency exchange.

Didn't any of you watch the movie? They put all the animals to sleep with magic smoke.

I'm out- Random thoughts on leaving as I look in the rear view mirror
by Skinnedsheep init is amazing to look back at three years and see the journey that we have taken.
i went from being an elder to fading completely in the course of those three years.
along the way i am happy to say that my lovely wife woke up and realized that the truth is nothing but a lie.

Bravo! I love success stories, especially if you take your loved-ones with you.
