Yes, in my youth. When I believed and when my friends believed. When we volunteered at assemblies and enjoyed one another's company at congregational activities. But most of all when I believed that Knorr and Fred Franz truly lived as they taught us and required us to live. With love, respect and honesty.

No one is going to Heaven (and my introduction to the forum)
by sobrino1 ini'm new to the forum, though i had been a lurker for quite some time now.
i studied w/ the witnesses for a number of years, to be specific, for 10 years (since i was a child) but never actually became one; though, i was counted as one in the yearbooks as a "publisher.
" so, as far as i got was as an unbaptized publisher.

I said this was new poster not an exJW.
"If someone said, "The Bible doesn't teach that God exists" and then tried to show biblical support, I would also say, "You are twisting the scriptures."
But this poster believes in the Bible.
"I don't want to run the person off, but I'm not going to just say "Welcome" and tuck my tail between my legs."
Okay, is there no middle ground between running him off and tucking your tail between your legs?

Brotherdan,
"How are you able to twist this scripture?"
Why are you so defensive? This is a new poster.

Sobrino1,
" Is Jesus always going to be in heaven? No…"
Could you expound on that a bit? Thanks.

My Gay Experience @ 25 Columbia Heights
by laverite ini haven't shared this experience on here before (at least i don't think i have).
as many of you have gathered from my avatar (and from my big fat mouth that won't shut up), i am gay.
i do have an interesting gay experience right outside of the worldwide borg headquarters of the watchtower corp from about 17 years ago.. i'd just started graduate school -- had just finished my first year.

Brooklyn being in the great city of New York is not a country place. Many Bethelites come in contact with all sorts of people friendly and otherwise. Bethel has had its gay "problems", there was a great clean out in the late 60's or early 70's of gay Bethelites. It is surprising that these men who must meet all sorts of people both straight and gay on the city streets would be so stupid. The very reason they change clothes to walk from work to the dining rooms at lunch break is to give a good impression to the locals so this behavior goes very contrary to this but people are people.

Why does God need your worship?
by cyberjesus inso this is a serious question.
we are really nothing compared with the whole universe.
our physical bodies are really just made of simple components that are found everywhere on earth.

CyberJesus,
I believe that Jesus existed and that he was who he claimed to be. Therefore I believe that he was the image of God in that as God's Son he reflected his Father's love and true nature. Much is made about the wars and punishments in the OT but God's loving acts and words in the OT are mostly overlooked. They are there. Creation makes sense to me. To believe that something, matter, came from nothing is not scientific is it? Or do you believe it possible that something can come from nothing?
