  Let's have the book study at your house.

  my sister moved to a affluent suburb in a capital city less than five years ago; and rented a small detatched unit and got a full-time job.

  i visited her a couple of years ago, and was surprised to find the tuesday night meeting was held there every week.

  at the time i thought it was an 'honour' bestowed upon her for all her years as a regular pioneer: but later i started wondering why, in a suburb with so many big prestige houses and families, would she be chosen to host the book study?

  Well I always thought it would be a "privilege" to have the book study in my home (puke) and asked for it several times or "volunteered" my home several times no matter where we were living at the time. But guess what: I'm the sister with the unbelieving mate who's in the military. They always made me feel like sh&* because of that.

  i really needed to find a place to write this as i don't believe i can talk with anyone else about my account, perhaps it is similar to a lot of yours.. last night for whatever reason i said i would go online and look up information on jws.

  i have been raised as a jw all my life and baptized the last few years.

  i looked at www.freeminds.org and www.sixscreensofthewatchtower.com and couldn't believe how easily the whole of my lifes teachings were refuted.. i can't stop my brain from running, bs just in regards to theology alone (1914, paradise earth, celebrations etc.

  P.S I just want to warn you that the vast majority of people on this board are atheist so after they finish love bombing you they'll start their normal routine of bible bashing and trying to convert you into an atheist. They like to take advantage of people like you who just found out the watchtower is false and try to use that to convince you the Bible is false.

  That's just a horrible thing to say and completely not true

  Welcome gutted. Your at a great age to be doing this now and it sounds like you'll have some support from your family. You will find a lot of great people here that are optimistic and encouraging and the love is unconditional. Just because people have their own "beliefs" doesn't mean they wont be your friend. I wish you the best in this journey!
