It does make sense in a way. How many people are *really* required for producing the litterature?
I am becoming more and more convinced it might make sense to create some sort of WT-timeline wikipedia which track key stats and events in the WT history for instance sorted as: doctrinal changes, printing statistics and reduction in staff.

wow. So hard to tell facts from rumors right now. As far as I understand, the building shutdown is known from an announcement supposedly made at brooklyn bethel breakfast table and reported by second-hand sources, as well as the searchers account from the Bethel service desk?
I believe construction crew right now in Britain are just 40 people in trailers moving dirt & planning (this is from the jw-tv video); it's really impossible to tell what's going on without inside sources as these 40 people can just be told to hang tight for the coming year (i imagine you want people on the site at all times to avoid stealing).
The construction is bound to be completed one day. It will be interesting to compare the finished construction/schedule with what has so far been released.
i just read an email from a friend, and she shared some very interesting emails from her friends about information on changes now happening at the bethels around the world.

a good source just just told me that at morning worship today that the governing body announced that a total of 1600 bethelites will be let get go and not transferred to warwich when the last property is sold in brooklyn and all kingdom hall building projects are on hold for at least a year so that all the focus will be on the preaching work.
i just called brooklyn bethel service dept.
they said they had not heard anything about a worldwide shut down of construction.
i asked if he had heard about london bethel shutting down construction.. he said no that it was a surprise to him.
