"Sin" is just a code word to say "you're not good enough for God."
Essentually you are born already in debt to the church.. I mean "god".

it seems to me that most, if not all christians are really hung up on sin and redemption from sin and how naturally evil we all are.. my question, and observation is this : i had nothing to do with whatever you say adam and eve did wrong, i have always, throughout my life, treated whoever i came into contact with compassion, respect and love.. i have lived by the golden rule.. not many people, hand on heart, can say that, i can.. so, is your god going to judge me for the "sin" of some mythical forebears of mine ?
is he going to say that , because i did not believe in him, i willl be judged adversely, even though i lived by the precepts he is supposed to support ?.
all i can say is, if your god is like that, i refuse to worship or acknowledge him.. and i certainly do not want to get to know him.
"Sin" is just a code word to say "you're not good enough for God."
Essentually you are born already in debt to the church.. I mean "god".

imagine this scenario:.
step 1) the governing body produces a brochure entitled: "addressing misconceptions about jehovah's witnesses".
it brings all the apostate arguments out of the woodwork and addresses them (whether or not the answers make sense doesn't really matter).
Actually, they'd need at least 3 brocures... the one you mentioned, and then a few more:
"Quote Mining - Is it Really Bearing a False Witness?"
and
"Logical Fallacies - Does God Limit Himself with Human Philosophies?"

I thought it was good. I think it says a lot about the US that we did get the job done - and if it took a few years longer than we might have hoped, as the president said, I think it says a lot that we didn't just give up and forget about it.
While I won't exactly celebrate the death of the man - some things simply must be done for peace, and I'm glad our country can still get the job done. Good riddence to bad rubbish. It will be interesting to see what effects this has... from politics to the economy.
I think some people forget that we here in America are supposed to be a team.

on the six screens tele-network..... former jehovah's witnesses presiding overseer and watchtower historian richard rawe interviews a former jehovah's witness who was involved with the writing department of the watchtower society.. richards guest comes forward and speaks up, he is no longer inhibited or concerned with what the watchtower has to say.
wait to you find out what he was disfellowshipped for.. it is easy to get on the conference call.
Please don't let the recent controversy surrounding "Johnny the Bethelite" color your opinion of all the SIX SCREENS teleconferences.
The controversy wasn't limited to just Johnny the Bethelite - but also Rick's sensationalism, lack of fact-checking, willingness to throw others under the bus, and self-serving attitude in responding to the situation.

a husband and his blond wife are driving in town when the come up to a stop light and stop behind a truck, "wow!
" the wife yells..
" the husband asks back.. "those people in front of us are a long way from home!
Ha ha
It is spelled "blonde joke".. not "blond joke".
Damn brewnets.

PS: Yes, 'blond' may be an old-english masculine form, but it is incorrect to use it here.
they are hemorrhaging the creme de la creme, as it were, and a lot of those thinking ones are coming to jwn.. no wonder there are so many warnings against surfing the 'net.. syl.
The WT has nothing to fear. After all - if there aren't enough qualified men to preform as Elders.. Jehovah God will make the rocks cry out.
(And as an absolute last resort.. there are always the.... females. If there aren't any good quality rocks available. )

PS: Yes, I have critized posters in the past for refering to women in plural as females. I've done it deliberately here to emphesize just how lowly in value/ability the Watchtower Society regards women. Because.. "God/the bible says it is good." I do not personally agree with this, and no disrespect is actually intended.
we are adults here and don't want jwn to reflect a hostile enviornment for lurkers who may.
wish to learn about the watchtower.
many first timers might be very curious to discover whether.
my wife and i are thinking of moving our family to a better place in the us....away from jw family and out of the southern bible belt.
just curious how many of you live around co and, more specifically, near fort collins?
of course, we're open to any city that is less conservative and has awesome summer weather and outdoor activities.
Colorado Springs here. I might move more toward Denver eventually... but it is really affordable here (compared to California, at least... my previous home). I've found good work here with nice, normal people. Local stores suck.. you usually have to drive to Denver if you want to buy anything that isn't Walmart/made in China crap.
The whole state is a great place also if you're into outdoor activities. Off-roading, hiking, skiing, etc. Lots of amazing places here that are simply off the map and unknown (I can literally drive for an hour and camp in a spot where nobody else is within a 10 mile radius most summer nights. No park fees, nothing. National Forest for as far as you can walk... People you meet on the trail are generally quiet and respectful.)
There's a surprising amount of really creative people here, as well, considering it's a sort of military-based sleeper/family town. I am usually tutoring at least 1 person in game development from local collages. And I'm having a TON of fun with the local amature film groups. Lot of meetup.com activity here.

april 27th, 201110:06 am etobama releases long-form birth certificateposted by:cnn white house producer shawna shepherd.
by cnn's alan silverleib.
washington (cnn) the white house released copies of president barack obama's original long-form birth certificate wednesday, seeking to put an end to persistent rumors that he was not born in theunited states.. "we do not have time for this kind of silliness," obama told reporters at the white house.. obama's long-form birth certificate [pdf].
Does anybody remember who introduced the Birth Certificate issue in the first place?
Was it a racist? No.
Who was it? Anybody? Anybody??
You're making the assumption that Hillary isn't a racist.
Still.. if someone does something for one reason (political smearing), and then another group repeats that pattern.. does that exclude the possibility that the secondary group might not also have a secondary motive/objective?
