'This allows people to come to us.'
Hmmm... to me, this has fail written all over it. It would be interesting to see stats on just how many converts are made this way versus the door-to-door work.
It does seem to confirm what we've been saying on the board here though. The traditional Field Serve-Us is ineffectual as too many people are just not home like they were back in the '50s and earlier. And the JWs just aren't knocking on the doors anymore. As I've said, I've been working from home full time for over a year now and prior to that part-time work from home for several years and they are just not knocking.

This gave me goosebumps too. I love the heart on this little, dwarf planet.
It reminded me of the Voyager 1 space probe, which launched Sep 15, 1977, turning to take a picture of Earth, the pale blue dot, as Voyager 1 left our solar system Feb 14, 1990. Here is a link to where the Voyager space crafts/probes are now:
I hope we, homo sapiens, never stop exploring and discovering.

My introduction and confession
by elderINewton inwell another big bad elder here just wanting to say sorry.. i'm sorry that so many were treated like crap, and shown that god's love is not to be found around jehovah's witnesses.
i'm sorry that inadvertently i've likely taught many to judge and as such see that racism permeates every corner of the jw world, else why else would someone be of the world, or even inactive.
i'm sorry i sat in on a jc, and voted to df.

Welcome EN!
You are one of the ones who, when it came time, decided to be intellectually honest with yourself instead of lying to yourself. I think this is a pivotal moment each JW comes to sooner or later.
I, like you, never agreed with the blood policy. I was a teenager when that was introduced to me and I told my parents that life was more important than this policy.
It wasn't until I was an adult that I learned about the child abuse and how much of a problem it really is. There is no way an 'all-loving' god is any part of that crap.
Your heart-felt apology is the beginning of your healing. I am hoping your recovery is swift and as painless as possible.Thank you for taking the time and mustering up the courage to join us. Every voice is important.

MORE PROPAGANDA FROM THE CO!!
by DATA-DOG inwell, once again my "friend" has shared their notes with me from the latest co visit.
besides the usual 1914 assertions/ world getting worse all the time/ our day is the worst of all time nonsense, the co mentioned some interesting things.
number one won't surprise you.

Yeah, the math has never worked with this group. Just do the calculation on 7 million people preaching to 7 billion. It just doesn't compute. -

Are Jehovah's Witnesses Sociopathic Liars ?
by Finkelstein inthe sociopathic liar beware of this dangerous sociopath.
the one behavior that characterizes the human race is so widespread that most of the time we dont even notice it.
it is extremely hard to spot and it is even harder to stop.

It does seem there are a few religitards that think people and dinosaurs lived together. Kent Hovind, he's out of jail now, is one of them. Do the JWs still believe this? -

Just received a visit from 2 Elders
by Driving Force inthe elders did not stay long and it wasn`t an official visit sanctioned by the boe/cobe because they were not from my (ex)congregation.
we talked a little about my situation and the fact that my wife does not talk to me and how non-scriptural her behavior is.. then they mentioned the rc and how it was the best convention for the last 20 years.
one thing they did mention was the fact that the borg was clearly preparing them for persecution.

This religion requires mandatory field serve us. Which means old people can no longer be Jehovah's Witnesses.
I think that kinda says it all about this religion. Everyone eventually becomes valueless to Botchtower.
