  I enjoy listening to Tim Minchin. Here is his song, " drinking white wine in the sun" or better known as " I reallly like christmas. He's quite witty and amusing and here is is also being a bit serious.

  i remember as a kid reading an article - not sure if watchtower or awake - which terrified the life out of me!

  i remember thinking at the time "ok, this may be true, but i'm just a kid, i shouldn't be reading this!".

  some of the details remain imprinted on my mind decades later.

  I can remember going out in service and the young sisters talking about rape ( in regard to all the stories of of jw women being raped) while being a virgin. They felt that if you were married it would not matter if you were raped. Only they mattered.

  Vampire, that was an excellent video. I've never heard that before. If Christ were here he'd be with the sick, poor, and those most mainstream religion deem as unsuitable.

  I have been trying to find a copy of Phill Collins " Another day in paradise", but you tube keeps telling me that some of the contents violate copyright laws in my country.

  What's the biggest lie/rumor that has ever been told about YOU?

  most of us here know what a hypocritical, backstabbing bunch of gossips many of the jw's tend to be.

  far too often, a jw wont tell you to your face what's eating them, but they'll sure tell others.

  when i started waking up (the second time around) this made me very paranoid.

  A song I heard as a child and never forgot. A brother and 2 sisters, The Browns did this song in 1946. Here they are many years later , the song is still beautiful.

  Here is Tennessee ernie ford. I was a small child when he was on TV, but I will never forget how he closed his shows with a hymn. Here is a video that is a compilation of 4 of his shows. It's old but it is still beautiful.

  I left Jws and while I still believed in God, I was so hurt by what they had done to myself and my famiily and others - well the hurt ran very deep. I was bitter, and I do mean bitter. A good friend told me that all religion is the same,about power and control over others. I said then I was done with religion, so Vampire I have a clue where you might be coming from. He told me I would mellow out, and somehow I have. Reading Shelby's posts a few years would have sent my blood pressure through the roof, now I look forward to reading her views .

  The Master spoke to me this morning. . .

  this morning as i lay lying in bed i was listening to music on the radio station on my headset.

  when i do this, i do this so as not to disturb the wife while she is sleeping.

  only this morning, she had already risen and was downstairs getting ready to go to work and just about to walk out the door.

  Do Elders and Bethelites really follow this site?

  just a question really and whilst i would not put it past them i sort of feel it is too 'conspiracy theory' for me.

  are elders and bethelites officially sanctioned to lurk (or engage) in this or other sites to try to weedle out apostates?

  does anyone have any direct experience of it happening?.

  There was a woman here several years ago who posted a lot of info and it got printed out and prensented to her by the elders at her cong.. I wish I could recall who it was , it seems like the word Island was in her screen name. It was several years ago.
