and it's obvious when you read their posts that they are good people and really just need some soothing healing love.

firstly, i will fill you in.. my friend's marriage split up in march.

both of them were raised as jw's, but i believe only my friend went to the meetings because his wife didn't want to go.. anyway, i believe that my friend started suffering with his health because he was taking on extra work to look after his wife and daughter to cover the debts that she had accumulated.

anyway, in march she left, claimed domestic violence and has left him in all sorts of debt (she had been running up credit card bills) .

Who Would Be Good Judges On American Idol?

I just read on the Meat Loaf International site that he is being considered for a seat. He is friends with Kara DioGuardi and on his latest CD they did a duet and she co-wrote a song . The CD is " Hang Cool,Teddy Bear" . The CD also has Hugh Laurie in it on piano and Jack Black in a duet " Like a Rose" .

Meat has it all, talent, longevity in the business and a wicked sense of humor.

I think Elton John is an excellent choice. I would personally enjoy Tim Minchin- he' s quite funny and knows music ( as he sings and entertains). He also has the aussie accent, which I quite like.

Older man marries younger woman, yes; younger man marries older woman?

i understand that marriages between an older man and a much younger woman are a fact of jw life.

the reasons i have seen include the lack of an available prospect, of the fact that the older man has some power in the congregation and therefore marrying him is something like an advantage.

i wonder what the advantage can be, and i would appreciate any light on this (new or old).. but, how often does a younger man marry an older woman?

I see 5-10 between spouses as totally ok. I think a lot of people do. Men routinely do it and now women are too. 10 yrs means you share a decade. Over 10 yrs is usually what gets attention.

When you are teens 5 yrs is a lot but as adults it is nothing.

Marriages of men around 65+ and women in 20's. Now that is an age difference. Why would I do that? Money ( don't have to work ) position ( a member of the coveted second wives club -(the trophy wife) ,elders wife can tell everyone else to go to H*ll. I know of someone who did such . There is an old saying that men do this for nurse or purse. He is marrying you to take care of him when he gets really old or you have money. I saw Tracey Ullman do a skit on this. LOL funny.

I also know of a marriage of two pioneers , the man in his late 20s and he woman in her 60's. They married b/c the big A was coming and then age won't matter. This was prior 1975 and of course the Big A did not come. She died and he could hardly keep from smiling. He remarried right away.

Elaine is dating a guy in his 60's for sex. She asks Jerry if he would date a woman 60. He said no. She asked what if she was vibrant? He said she would have to be so vibrant that she's be spinning.

while studies continue to refine optimal blood levels and recommended dietary amounts, the fact remains that a huge part of the population from robust newborns to the frail elderly, and many others in between are deficient in this essential nutrient.. .

Yes 8 is low. Even now 39 is just at the low end of ok. This has been an ongoing problem for years.

I am also dealing with anemia. One year ago I had to have five iron infusions due to my ferritin also being in the single digits. It rose very nicely after the iron infusions. One year later and I am anemic again. They are going to get me set up for the iron infusions again. I guess I'll be ok until next year. This time it is more than ferritin, it is my iron saturation levels.

Amazing,with all our medical knowledge and the USA having the good health care and we are seeing Vitamin deficiences . I guess there aren't a lot of vitamins in Mickey D's stuff.

I have had low D levels ( 8) documented since 03. We tried the 50 IU weekly but it did not seem to help. We then went with the soft gel D3 6-10 Iu daily. I went from 8 to last check 2 weeks ago, 39. ( took-4 months ) The docs would like to see it a min of 50.

I have read a lot of literature on this and it seems that due most of us wearing sun screen and living indoors so much, more Vit D def is being seen. My docs said to try and get 30 miniutes of sun exposure without sunscreen , early am or late pm. Be careful with that b/c I tried it and almost immediately a pre cancerous growth came up,which of course we removed. No more sun for me.

Interesting the possible connection between Vit d and auto immune diseases. I was dx last year with myasthenia gravis, also a neuromuscular disease. MG is an autoimmune disease also. ( in the same board class as MS)
