if one assumes that Aguest is hearing a voice, and I have no reason to suspect she isn't, and it isn't her subconscious it does sound like some form of clairaudience (I am not saying clairaudience is a fact).

Whose Voice Should We Listen To?
by AGuest into the household of god, israel, and all those who go with... may you have peace!.
i was recently directed to post some truths about the harlot, babylon the great, including who she is (i.e., those who profess to be in union with christ, but are not, and so commit fornication with the "kings of the earth" (e.g., persons such as popes, gb members, and other so-called "leaders" who believe they have been given charge over a "kingdom"... but have not... yet (revelation 17:12)... and when they are, it is soley for the purpose of destroying the harlot (revelation 17:13, 16-18)).. some have taken issue with this truth (who babylon the great is), and praise jah, our lord has given me more to share with you on that matter.
some of you may have already received this truth; however, for those who have not, i share the following, taken from chapters 8 and 9 of the proverbs:.

I had a cursory look at it and it struck me as a pro-christian/bible site - was my look too cursory?

2 unrelated questions
by goddidit inwhat is the jw's explanation for how all the animals got to australia after the flood?.
they bang on about carbon dating being flawed, using the usual creationist mis-information and lies but are they even aware of all the other dating methods and the fact that multiple independent methods are used and results only taken as true when they agree?.

as soon as the ark landed, the Kangaroo, duck-billed platypus and koala bear (and friends) immediately ran and stood on the bit of land that was to become australia, and didn't move from there while it floated down to the sout
This sounds like the start of a joke :)....

Her Majesty's Government says sorry to papa
by cofty ina junior civil servant has embarrassed the uk foreign office with his suggestions for the popes visit to the uk in september.
the foreign office has been forced to issue a public apology after an official document suggested britain should mark the pope's visit this year by asking him to open an abortion clinic, bless a gay marriage and launch a range of benedict-branded condoms.... .
i've got another idea; throw his papal arse in barlinnie prison with a load of rangers fans as a reward for years of covering up child abuse.

Non-practising homosexual JW's
by Quillsky inas i understand it, being gay is not a sin in the organization, only homosexual acts are sins.
i've never read anywhere that gay jw people are encouraged to "fix" their gayness and marry.. i've certainly known a fair number of confirmed bachelor types who live exemplary lives in the witness sense - one life-long bethelite i knew springs to mind - but are clearly (to me anyway) gay.
they've all been in the closet though.. i wonder if any jw has ever been out of the closet, but not disfellowshipped since they don't have sex?

mindmelda. Very interesting facts. There is still a great pressure to conform in society I agree. Your comment regarding left-handedness is an interesting one. I am left-handed, eh JW and gay perhaps it is a wonder can still function at all LOL

Hi Benjammin. I was kicked out in the mid-80s. Funnily enough I did approach the elders for help (a number of times) and of course they couldn't offer anything, other than "get married" - your observations about the other person who would be roped-into this marriage are spot-on.
IMHO I do not think think it is possible to be gay, remain a JW and have a healthy mental state/life. Once a person is sure of their sexuality they may as well turn their attention to life outside the organisation. This is of course easy to say and very difficult to do, especially for those born-in who may realise their sexuality at quite an early age (about 11 in my case). Naturally this is likely to involve a great deal of pain and separation from family and friends. Having said that, accepting one is gay and living in accordance with that sometimes causes separations within families and other relationships whether the people concerned are religious or not. At least until they think it through properly.
I became a JW later on in life, 19/20. I knew was gay but hadn't come to terms with it at all and hadn't done anything about it so it was academic until of course if became a practical problem :)
Lifelong celibacy is, I think, a big deal and could only be undertaken by a person who chose celibacy for themselves. I do not think most gay people have any choice in their sexuality so enforced celibacy appears to me inhumane and potentially extremely damaging for the person concerned. It is perhaps no less damaging getting into a relationship where there is no attraction for the other party and no chance of expressing one's true nature. Damaging to all involved, and to potentially to any children produced from such an arrangement.
Sometimes folks make the assumption that being gay is simply about sex. Of course sex is usually a component of such any intimate relationship but they will not see that a loving gay relationship has all the emotional components that a heterosexual relationship has. Being gay is not simply about sexual attraction.
