Not a fight as such, but a bit of a to - do. A brother who hadn't been at the meetings for a while turned up early one Thurs. night in a big black, way too big for him, trench coat. People were trying to say hello to him, but he just kept walking in a no-nonsense , concentrated , straight line to the front of the hall like he hadn't seen anyone. The few people that were there, were exchanging looks as they didn' t know what his problem was or what the strange look in his eyes was all about. Anyway, quite calmly he started to take out of his 'way too big coat' a hammer and some (I kid you not ), Mickey Mouse pictures. (The ones with the shiny,shimmering holographic backgrounds....frames and all.) We all just stood there wondering what he was doing when he produced a nail and started hammering one of the pictures on to the wall. The bouncers........oops attendants then rushed up, Starsky and Hutch style to stop him. They had to wrestle the hammer out of his hand, ( it took 3 of them), and as they were trying to get him out of the hall he got free, ran to the platform and started shouting "Down with the Elders " Down with the Elders" , at the same time giving a big thumbs down with both hands. They finally got him out and phoned the police to come and take him home; who then returned half an hour later because someone else's big black coat had been given to him instead of his own, and he had no keys to get into his house. He was put into a mental health hospital soon after and as far as I know is still there. Considering what I know now, and looking at what he did, it makes me wonder if he found out stuff about the org. and this was his way of protesting. I can see why the Mickey Mouse pictures would have been appropriate.

The WTBS has blinded people to the truth of Jesus. The dont allow these scriptures to shine through but cover them over with their own "light". This "light" provided by them keeps us in the "dark" concerning Jesus. "Is is therefore nothing great if his ministers keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness. But their end shall be according to their works...2 Cor 11 : 15.
Iknowall just made reference to the " Brilliance of light " - and i think it is safe to assume he is talking about Jesus.
JOHN 1:6 - 9 "There arose a man that was sent forth as a representative of God: his name was John. This man came for a witness, order to bear witness about the LIGHT, that people of all sorts might believe through him. HE was not that light, but he was meant to bear witness about that light. The TRUE LIGHT that gives light to every sort of man was about to come into the world......"
JOHN 8 :12 "Therefore, Jesus spoke again to them saying "I am the light of the world. He that follows me will by no means walk in darkness, but will possess the light of life."
YES , JESUS IS THE TRUE LIGHT.
Isn't it true that for light to have the best effect it needs to be lifted up high...? Matt 5 :14 You are the light of the world. A city cannot be hid when situated.... ON A MOUNTAIN. Withing the WTS , Jesus has been situated on a MOLE HILL.
This is why I said what I said to PP. It is blindingly obvious from scripture who Jesus really is.
Pass has submitted some very good posts, most of them heaving with scriptures. With all the years of indoctrination within the JW org it can be very difficult to put Jesus in a position that you're not used to him being in. The scriptures bear witness about him, and his followers bore witness about him.... as pass said .....
" If we want to get to God, we need to go through Jesus, and to go through Jesus we need to recognise his place - not putting him off to the side or relegating him to a position lower than he is intended it to be.

i mean this is the most 'exlusive and unique' group of people living on this earth according to jws...is it not?

It appears to be that there is no record kept of any names of the partakers at the memorial.
WT 89 15th Aug pg 20 "It is within the realm of possibility and of likelihood that, some day in the future, the names of all those annointed Christians who have made their "calling and choosing " sure and who have been blessed by this supernal resurrection will be published in full for the information of the Human family in their earthly paradise." (Ps 87:5,6)
WT 06 15th July pg 12 "will those who receive life in the earthly paradise ever know the names of those resurrected to heavenly life?" These verses indicate that this is likely a possibility". (ps 87: 5,6 )
Apart from the ones who have their wings at Brooklyn it appears that even the GB and FDS do not know the names of these 9,000+. Are they afraid of mass stalking ? Are they afraid these ones may be idolised and worshipped ? Or are they afraid to compile a list in case half the people on it are kidding themselves and have "mental problems" ?
They have a list of the paedos, do they not ? Surely this group is far more important. Any thoughts.............?

Everlasting life is a GIFT ! It doesn't matter how much you do in field service, items at meetings, reaching out for privileges - pio, min serv., co., po., bethel, gilead...etc,etc. Everlasting life CANNOT be earned.!
Eph 2:8 "By this undeserved kindness, indeed, you have been saved through faith; and this NOT OWING TO YOU, it is God's gift."
All this clocking up points with the WTBTS is futile . All it does is rob you of your life. You are giving everything to them and denying yourself the chance of a life with education, friends of your choosing, celebrating of holidays and local customs, and your sanity.
I used to have white knuckles through sheer frustration every time someone was interviewed and held up as an example to aspire to in the congregation because perhaps they had aux pio. that month, gave up their job to reg . pio., refused to go to college/uni after school so they could spend more time in the service. It was "look how many hours they are managing in the field service" "Brother boaster has placed 2 thousand books this month " and "Sister Nose in the Air has clocked up her 90th Bible Study this week".
These demos, in my opinion , did nothing but discourage you and show up how bad your own performance was and made you feel deflated and rubbish cos you couldn't come anywhere close to them on the league table. So it was a case of why bother! I always thought it would have been better to get those up who hated the ministry but did it anyway, whose placement literature had to have the dust and cobwebs blown off it because they could never get it shifted no matter how hard they tried. At least with these ones you could probably identify with their plight and realize that you werent that bad because there was someone who had the same struggles as you. Not everyone has the gift of the gab or is a natural sales person. My hubby and I were regularly told off for not having a " SEEN SHARE " in the ministry. Seen by who ? This was the usual crap of - the strength of your spirituality and you love of God can only be measured by your ' activities ' . Eph 2:8 - How wrong they are.!

RENIA - I was just wondering if anyone in the congregation knows you come on to this site ? Do you keep it a secret from them ? You strike me as someone who likes to have their say and display your "knowlege" of the Bible. Do you have to keep quiet and not answer up when there are articles on apostates/apostasy being discussed through the literature because you do not have the freeness of speech to comment ? You are on this site almost daily conversing and communicating with apostates and disfellowshipped people. You are failing to be obedient to Jehovah who tells you through the FDS not to have anything to do with these people. YOU ARE A DISOBEDIENT JW. Does your conscience bother you when you are saying your prayers to Jehovah when you know that he can see what you are doing ? Why are you trying SO hard to defend your organisation when you are blatantly not listening or obeying them yourself ? You must feel that their teaching on not talking to df and apostate JWs is not for you. Why is this teaching not for you ? I am genuinely interested, and I'm more than 100% sure that you wouldn't talk to an apostate or df person in the street. Why do it via your computer screen? It makes no difference, you are still ignoring the FDS counsel given to you.
You definitely have a fire in your belly and I would have to say that you would make a great apostate ! You're already half way there.
