  Manners Maketh Man

  Hell

  the following is supposedly an actual question given on a university of washington chemistry mid-term.

  the answer by one of the students was so "profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well... .

  bonus question: is hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

  they believe that adam and eve sinned which resulted in death and human inperfection.

  but obiviously adam and eve were'nt meant to sin and if they didnt sin and they had obeyed god.

  Maybe it's self limiting - if the earth becomes sufficiently densely populated, there will come a point where if you want to get low down and dirty with your good lady wife, at least 100 people will be close enough to you to see you at it. And because there's no death any more, you'll be related to most of them somehow. You'd be doing the wild thing in front of your great great grandchildren, which would put you off, hence population stops growing.

  Either that, or the starvation starts killing people off as more and more farmland is given over to residential uses.

  Maybe this is in the new scrolls, along with how to deal with the astronomical quantities of poo generated by the inhabitants of the full earth.

  Smurf away

  as a wee damselfly in the late 70's/early 80's i loved the smurfs!

  i watched the show and had the coloring book and the little plastic figures.

  then some jw kid had a nightmare, it was taken as demonism and my smurfs were taken away!

  no one else will be up yet, let alone have access to the internet, so let me be the first person to thank englishman and her ladyship for being wonderful hosts, at what was the event of the year.. i met so many brilliant people and had a fantastic time.

  englishman has a lovely family, and shame on him for tempting an old lady like me with such handsome young sons.

  crumpet is a charming, beautiful, lady, who just needs a mum to love her like she deserves to be loved.
