  Interested Person kills Bethelite in German Kingdom Hall, later is killed by train

  on saturday, 35 jehovah's witnesses gathered in their kingdom hall near frankfurt and sat over coffee and cake (for whatever reason, maybe pioneer school or some other event).

  suddenly a 20-year-old man (according to most sources "not a jw yet, but wanted to become one"; though one source claims that he would have been an auxiliary pioneer) took a knife from the cake buffet and killed a 45-year-old bethelite (maybe a circuit overseer).. today the murderer was killed by a train - supposedly suicide.. .

  Firstly, there is zero, I repeat, zero evidence that points to a supreme being having created living things. Therefore, the title of this thread needs to be reassessed.

  But, let's, for the fun of it, say that there actually was a "God", "Deity", or "Supreme Being" that created life. Should that being expect to receive dedicated respect? No.

  I was created by two human beings (I hope). One of them deserves my respect and love, whilst the other deserves to be locked up and tortured for the rest of their existence. Just because they created me doesn't give them the right to extract respect from me, their creation.

  Only harsh dictators that run tyrannical governments demand the respect your "God" would like.

  See a pattern developing here?

  $aving the WTB&TS

  as i was flipping through some magazines in the check out line today, it dawned on me that the wts could very well save itself.. it claims that the watchtower and awake!

  magazines are the most widely circulated journals in the world.

  so why the hell are they not capitalizing on this popularity by selling advertising space in the magazines?

  I actually think that's a good idea. As we are entering the world of eLocationism and Social Networking, the WTS could sell ad space to the territories that it distributes the mags to.

  They could make a killing (in more ways than they are already).

  I have a feeling that they could turn to it. If they don't I can't see them being around before I kick the bucket.

  i have officially gotten 2 out so far, which is more than i ever got into it, with the exception of my son that i begged not to get baptized.

  he, however, is disfellowshipped now and wants nothing to do with the organization.

  Hello my fellow sunshines,

  I don't like plugging my websites on here too much, but it was this forum and the brilliant minds that write the articles on here which got my blog, www.JehovahsWitnessBlog.com (JWB) up and running.

  To my knowledge, JWB has thus far broken through the cult mindset of 9 Jehovah's Witnesses, with the direct result of 2 readers disassociating themselves (according to their emails).

  My other blog, www.AtheistsWeekly.com has helped a few Jehovah's Witnesses see the bible and god, etc. for what it really is, although thus far, not many Witnesses/Ex-Witnesses are reading it, which is a shame.

  Reporting System
  Maybe we could also create a report card system on here to? Just like the reporting system the Witnesses use, there would be no way to prove the stats on your monthly report, but I have "faith" that you all will report accurately.

  Nickolas, when I was 15 years old, I told my loving pioneer mother that I no longer wanted to be a part of the cult, she tried to poison me. So "gone and dead" is exactly what I want.

  I had the same problem as you (although unless you're not telling us everything, I had it far worse).

  Recently in a telephone conversation with my parents, who are serving in the London Bethel, I told them to "F*** off and never bother me again unless you come to your senses and realise that you are in a cult".

  They haven't called since, which is a good thing.
