  Ambien vs Temazepam

  friend of mine out west told me his spouse has been having trouble staying asleep with ambien and now she has been prescribed temazepam which they said would make her sleep better and longer.

  has anyone out here had those and what is the difference, and do you knjow if the temazepam really works or not?.

  Isn't Ambien what that Kennedy dude (Patrick Kennedy) used when he slept walked, drove somewhere, crashed into a tree and blamed it on Ambien? He was a US Congressman at the time. I believe it is the *Ambien* defense if you do something really stupid in the middle of the night.

  I like Lunesta. Lets me sleep for 5-7 hours when I need to. Not too groggy the next morning.

  The "Ambien defense" is starting to rear its ugly head, thanks, in part, to Rep. Patrick Kennedy's nighttime excursion around Capitol Police barricades in Washington, DC. True to form, the Kennedy's dodged potential legal ramifications for their actions with clever lawyers and the novel notion that "the Ambien made him do it" as an excuse for getting behind the wheel of a 2,000 lb automobile and nearly mowing down a Capitol Police officer.

  My sister is dying and extremely ill. I don't know if she'll ever leave the hospital and make it home. My Mom's response? To my openly Atheist, JW loathing sister:

  "It's OK to die. You'll be resurrected and be perfect. You'll have a perfect body. Perfect face. Perfect hair. You'll be 35. Just think, you will be perfect and in the New System."

  I ripped into my mom and told her in no uncertain terms she was a fucking idiot and no one is going to be resurrected and that anyone who believes that shit is a total, complete tool.

  Her response? She was almost hysterical as she said it:

  "I believe it. It's true. It's true. She will be 35 and perfect. She'll have perfect hair. Perfect teeth. Perfect body." She went into a Jehovah loves us, etc. rant. We got into a verbal battle.

  So, first off, how did she come up with this age? Why 35. Why the focus on *Perfect hair, perfect teeth, perfect body*.

  I know my mom has issues with this kind of stuff, however, this is overboard.

  I told her if she mentioned this kind of stuff with me in the hospital room I will wrestle her to the ground and physically assualt her.

  She has become a brain-dead drone for these fucking Wizards. If I saw them on the street I might run them over. The GB that is. I-Hate-Them.

  so, i found out a friend of mines cousin overdosed on drugs the other.

  its absolutely awful.

  i got a text from my mom this morning that said her friend who lives across the street from them said they had an overdose across the street.

  I'm really sorry your friends cousin died.

  Your Mom sounds exactly like mine.

  And lots of JWs if you think about it. They make snarky comments about Worldlies. Who aren't up to their standard. Then turn around and tout their superior Christ-like qualities. <puke>

  Your Mom is no different than many of our Mom's. Mine included.

  i`ve recieved an email from one of the dearest people i know,here on jwn... shelby had major surgery at the end of february..she is just getting her strength back... this thread is for her... leave a message..say a prayer..send good vibes... it all helps when a person is recovering... thanks... .

  1) i think it's ridiculous to tell anyone when and how to use something they paid for ( computers and internet service ).

  2) i think it's ridiculous to tell married couples how to act in the bedroom.

  3) i think it's ridiculous to tell people what kinda cars they should buy ( 4 door for fieldservice ).

  I've been outed...

  so this weekend my wife had a major grand mal seizure for the first time in her life.

  she was rushed to the er.

  a few hours later while i was at her side she had another major one.. it was the scariest moment in my life.

  Update on my daughter Ali....Amazing

  it has been a few months since the whole nightmare began.. today her cardiologist released her to return to work.

  she starts in 2 weeks.

  i am a college trying to maintain good grades.college is stressful especially this year.have any of you who are still in college, or went to college found it to be difficult in any way shape or form?.for me i am worried about finding a good career after i graduate.since the job market is still slow.. thanks.

  If you're a freshman in the true sense of the word, meaning 18 years-old, I wouldn't worry so much about the job market in your given career. I would worry about getting the best grades you can and staying off of Facebook. Meaning don't post anything you don't want your future employer to find in a background search. No beer drinking, no naked pics, no stories of drugs. No stupid sh%t you wouldn't tell them about. Facebook and every other social networking site will be looked at by every company doing a background search. Any, and everything you post is fair game.

  I would try to get a part-time job. Even serving coffee. Internships, volunteer, etc. Anything to show an employeer that you are willing to be a team-player and you work well with other people and are willing to do crap as well as your given *career*.

  If your career is engineering, you have a much better chance of getting a job than if it is in, oh, say Art Appreciation.

  College can and should be fun. However, if it is too much fun, you'll be there for 5 years which not only adds to the cost but puts your career on hold. Plus, you are there to learn not party. (speaking from experience. )

  i'm wondering whether hlc members have "report interesting cases to the society" as part of their duties.. there is a typical jw chain email going around right now about a blood doctrine victim in kansas named shay brooks.

  the email is written in such borg writing department style that i suspect it wasn't started by an actual friend of the victim's family but rather by writers at bethel, who then leak the story out into the email grapevine of jws, letting it take on a life of its own.. a little digging confirms that a 13 year old boy by the name of shay brooks died in january in wichita, ks, usa, and the online obituary comments show that he was indeed a jw kid who "died faithful" to the borg.. but there are comments in the circulating email that make me suspicious about the veracity of the details surrounding this poor kid's experience.

  one thing it says is that he went to the hospital with a nosebleed and was diagnosed with "the kind of leukemia that only gives you a matter of days.

  I am curious why JWs don't run Obits in the local newspapers?

  I know for sure that no one in my family has ever had an Obit run when they died. They were all JWs. The only way one knew they died was the Legacy.com thing.
