  Prayers for my daughter, Ali, not a good update

  my last update on my daughter was so good...but it didn't turn out that way.

  she was cleared to go back to work, but with limitations... she couldn't lift more than 10 pounds.

  her employer wanted her back but wouldn't agree to the lifting restriction.

  Poster Vs. Person

  sometimes we treat people here like our friends and sometimes we treat them like crap.

  and we may often view them indifferently.. i've often said here that i very much doubt some individuals would talk to me face to face like they do here.

  in this forum you can get away with a lot because i think we tend to view the people behind the keyboards as merely "posters" -- not real persons.

  Ahhh, road rage. I was driving to work one day. I was thisclose to being late and had to punch the literal time clock or be docked 15 minutes. I needed those 15 minutes of pay god dammit!!!

  I got on the highway and a Mercedes was in the right lane going 45 MPH. The speed limit was 55. The cars in the left lane were zippy by going 65 and I simply could not pass this dumb ass in the Mercedes. I was screaming at the driver to "READ MY LIPS." I called the driver every name I could think of.

  I finally got an opportunity to pass, about 5 miles later. I looked over, flipped the middle finger and almost crashed my car.

  Looking straight ahead was my direct supervisor in the Mercedes!!! WTF?!!! She drove a Toyota!!!

  I sped away, got to the parking lot, took a space, parked and ran in the building, clocked in with seconds to spare and got to my desk. I was in tears.

  About an hour later I recounted what happened to my desk mate. She laughed and said Christine, our supervisor probably hadn't seen me, she was such an airhead. I was just about relaxed when Christine walked up and asked how everything was this morning? I stammered out "OK" and smiled weakly.

  She started walking away then turned and looked at me and smiled and said:

  "Oh, VIII, I can read lips."

  Later she came by and said she was driving her boyfriends car and thrilled with opportunity to drive such a nice vehicle.

  That taught me a valuable lesson.

  Look into the rearview mirror of anyone you are going to curse out. If you recognize them, don't.

  Same thing with the Internet.

  Trying to explain it to someone who is totally clueless is hopeless. They will never get *IT*.

  *IT* being a completely nutty reason: "It's pagan", "It's Worldly", etc.

  i saw jehovah witnesses today and actually had a panic attack !!

  i saw them in the distance going door to door , (about 6 of them plus child in pushchair ) i knew i had to walk past them but started panicking !

  i was thinking please dont speak to me or i will explain why im not interested in your religion , i left my town to get away from them !

  due to my daughters sexual abuse by a ex min servant who had abused others in the congregation also but had never been reported !

  You are not alone. Anytime my door bell rings on a Saturday I get a slight "Oh, NOOOO!!!" feeling and then have to decide whether or not to blindly answer the door.

  I have answered the door a few times during the week and been caught off guard by them in the past year, oddly enough. I suddenly lost all ability to think of all the things I know and could only say "I'm not interested". I wimped out. I do understand that panicky feeling.

  ... and wanted to disrupt sites like this one and activities of 'apostates' in general, what would i do?.

  would i send apologists who were obviously on the side of the wts to spew out the typical wts message, ones that would be quickly labelled and disagreed with?

  maybe ... it would get people riled up.

  Ummm, I gotta stick up for Minimus. Blaming him for saying:

  I am sick and tired of people putting down posters like the Andersons! They work hard to expose some things we might never have known about. Why some find fault with them, or Ray Franz before them, or Maximus when he was here is beyond me.

  Be thankful for those that decide to come here and share what they know about this Organization.

  We get elders who are still in their positions and they share with us a lot of interesting news and perspectives. Rather than beat them down, why not just appreciate them??

  What is wrong with y'all?!! You start fighting like my Mom and sister over a dought and forget what his original post was about.

  i get a kick out of the posters that get upset over realizing that their opinions are not always appreciated.

  the forum owner has made it plain that he calls the shots and not everything expressed by posters will be accepted.. folks, that's thev way it's always been here.

  I am on some other forums. It is amazing what people say. And get away with. The religious arguments and intolerance are eye opening. The political stuff makes this look like a bunch of still-in JWs talking. And it's a forum on exercise!!! These folks get into these topics on an exercise forum. Yoga actually. The mods delete all swear words. Nothing else. Go figure.

  So, as far as free speech goes, this one is actually pretty open, considering.

  I may or may not agree with people's views--but, I have decided to just not respond. Or, not read the thread. Life is too short people.

  I don't think anyone at the WTS would even have a Bethel boy come here. They would think he was Demon-eyezed afterward. LOL! ( I know my Mom is suspicious of me lately! )

  Please peeps, just relax and be happy the word is getting out on WTS and quit shooting the messenger. Thank Al Gore the Internet was created!!
