  several people were shot saturday at a grocery store in tucson, arizona, a spokesman for the pima county sheriff's department said.. the shooting occurred at a safeway shortly after 10 a.m. mst, according to sheriff's spokesman deputy jason ogan.. a couple of victims with gunshot wounds have arrived at northwest medical center, according to spokesman richard parker.. "they've been coming in the last 10 minutes.

  i'm not sure of the severity of their injuries," he said.. ogan said the motive for the shooting is unclear.. "we're just trying to sort this out right now," he said.. .

  LOL, you would have to tie me up to make me sit through more than 3 minutes of Beck's manure. A horrible person that one. He's done 1000 times more damage to this country than some obscure comedian.

  You don't actually listen to that guy do you? Take him seriously?????????????????????????????

  Yet, you seem to know so much what he talks about.

  You must be a follower of his to know this or you are a follower of a hater of his. If you are a follower of a hater you're not doing your own research. You need to verify all your facts by watching and hearing what you are posting before you do. You are a librarian, or something close to it, so you should know that fact check is critical.

  Just because you don't agree with someone's political position is no reason to wish them dead. As so many on the left have done.

  Oddly enough, I saw this Beck episode on TV in the gym tonight and thought of you. How strange is that.

  BTW, what is wrong with renouncing violence? Isn't that what all the law makers are calling for? Why not sign a pledge? Just because Glenn Beck thought of it doesn't make it not a good idea. I'm shocked frankly that you, of all people wouldn't want to sign a non-violence pledge.

  Hey beks, why not go to Glenn Becks web site (since you obviously searched it) and sign his violence pledge? You seem to be a fan of his.

  Here is the Pledge:

  I denounce violence, regardless of ideological motivation.
  I denounce anyone, from the Left, the Right or middle, who believes physical violence is the answer to whatever they feel is wrong with our country.
  I denounce those who wish to tear down our system and rebuild it in their own image, whatever that image may be.
  I denounce those from the Left, the Right or middle, who call for riots and violence as an opportunity to bring down and reconstruct our system.
  I denounce violent threats and calls for the destruction of our system – regardless of their underlying ideology – whether they come from the Hutaree Militia or Frances Fox Piven.
  I hold those responsible for the violence, responsible for the violence. I denounce those who attempt to blame political opponents for the acts of madmen.
  I denounce those from the Left, the Right or middle that sees violence as a viable alternative to our long established system of change made within the constraints of our constitutional Republic.

  Oh and you still haven't posted on the thread where Sarah Bernhard said Palin would be gang raped. Disgusting that. How could a woman want that/wish that on another woman? Only a psycho monster. IMO.

  my sil has been fighting stage iv leiomyosarcoma (which in incurable) for over 2 years now.

  there have been quite a few ups and downs in her treatments and her prognosis along with way.

  she is a full time pioneer and has been since shortly after her diagnosis.

  I have started doing it daily in the last month. I was doing it a couple of times a week. I started daily because I have been running and yoga really helps stretch out my muscles. I pulled something in my thigh/groin area a few weeks ago and the yoga has really helped stregthen my legs in areas I thought were strong. Plus, the core training is really helping that. Again, I thought I could get away with just running. I realize I need to add more to my routine. Yoga is incredible. I just need to meditate and not think of all the stuff I have to do.

  I have pulled some podcasts off of Apple and rotate different free ones off of YogaJournal.com, Yogamzing.com and Yogadaily. They offer free stuff since I didn't want to purchase a dvd.

  I do the elliptical also. Some days it is soooo hard I want to cry. I can't figure out why. I do love running though.

  I personally do not believe in it. As noted above, if it helps you, do it. If it helps to meditate, do that.

  I look at it like meditation. I only meditate when doing yoga and then I'm thinking about all the things I have to do.

  Saw my JW father the other day

  i'm still a bit torn on the issue of associating with my parents.

  they have made absolutely no effort to keep in touch and usually any contact results in a generic witness email reply.. i have been at the point that i really don't need or care for their influence in my life for a while but i keep flipping back and forth between cutting off all contact and being the bigger person and at least give them updates.. so, in light of their recent aniversary, i went to the store and tried to pick them out a card.

  i never really realized how difficult that is if you're looking for a card to actually mean what you say.. unfortunately i didn't find a card that said "sorry you two are trapped in a loveless marriage and i could really care less about your opinions" so i settled for the least bit sappy i could find.. i put the kid's school pictures in and while out running errands dropped it off.

  "Sometimes being the 'bigger person' really sucks."

  Yep.

  It is really sad that they are missing out on their grand-childrens lives. Same thing happened on my side. No way that will ever be reclaimed.

  Sad Family News.....

  on friday morning, sometime before noon, my former son-in-law [for lack of better term, for he and my daughter were never married], father and custodial parent of my middle granddaughter, was found dead of an overdose of pain-medication.

  perhaps oxycontin, though i am unsure of the specific drug at the moment.. he was enduring pain from an accident with his moped [yes, he was lifetime license removed for drinking] that occurred a year or so back.

  his shoulder was injured and he had a surgery scheduled soon.

  No, you are certainly not alone. No matter how long you're out, it still comes back. Mine mainly from hearing from relatives and Mom how the system is ending and how "I'll pray to Jehovah for you" no matter how small the issue.

  I have had some thoughts this week, mainly from my Mom's non-stop barrage of phone calls and a thought of praying to Jehovah popped in momentarily. Just momentarily.

  I've been out a long time, so, no, I don't think it will go away for a long time, unfortunately. Little things set it off for me.

  How to tell my mom im moving out?? Need advice please

  well i'm 22 years old, still in college, i live with my mom but she is driving me crazy with her jw nonsense, ive been dealing with it all my life and i really cant take anymore of this, i have a boyfriend, non jw (which my mom hates) and i could barely see him because she doesnt let me go out!

  we have 4 years together and i really dont want to keep on like this, im not baptized but i am a publisher.... .

  so the thing is, i want to move out with my boyfriend but i have no idea how to break the news to her, she drives me nuts but shes my mother and i love her, i dont want to hurt her but enough is enough...she's probably going to disown me, but i really just want to be happy already...so does anybody have any ideas what i can do?.

  I totally concur with what Band just stated.

  Feminism is not a dirty word. Being self-sufficient, especially today, with the odds a marriage will fail, is critical. You need to learn to be independent and learn how to pay bills, how to set up a utility, how to shop, how to repair things, how to do all the things you more than likely will be doing on your own some day.

  And you need to finish college. An education from college should be your first goal, then a job. Then marriage and children. Being dependent on someone leaves you vulnerable to abuse.

  Please read people's comments and perhaps talk to a counselor at school. Or a trusted advisor.
