That's my real question also. I know they invest and buy and sell properties and what not. But what's the end game? Is it just to make as much as possible?
It's not inconceivable, because I'm sure the GB are very well cared for, so maybe it's just like any other job. I just really think somebody, somewhere has a

as i noted in a previous thread, the amount of data storage available in the dna storage system just the size of a pin-head would filll a stack of books stacked from your driveway to the moon .... 500 times!
You can't say that DNA or any other part of humans are to complex to have just appeared or evolved and then turn around and suggest that GOD just appeared. One is no more ridiculous an explanation than the other one. Can both sides admit that much? One thing we absolutely know is that things do evolve or adapt. Some argue that people aren't still evolving but we are. We are bigger stronger faster and live longer than our ancesters were.

Interesting! But to what end? I mean what point is a multi billion $ organazation or making investments with no particular benefactor? My thought is someone must be really enjoying at least a piece of that pie. They will never get another dime from me but I would feel slightly less foolish if they actually use the money for the preaching work

today's watchtower lesson touched on the history of hezekiah's reign, and then made a surprising modern-day application.
having used my time before the meeting to research the underlying material instead of highlighting my magazine, i personally found this to be an upsetting study, and decided to put this warning here in the hopes that some active witnesses read it.. the most important thing i want to say to you is that the actual flow of events in this bible account were severely misrepresented, and that there are some disturbing implications in the distortions that were made.
1. hezekiah's father ahaz makes himself a vassal to assyria out of fear of their overwhelming might (2 kings 16:7, 8).. 2. upon becoming king, hezekiah rebels against assyria (2 kings 18:7).

in the u.s. there are fewer venues this year, but they will be held in larger facilities.
as long as i can remember my family travelled no more than 2 hours to attend and in the last few years the dc was local (within a few minutes travel).
this year my family is driving 6 hours to a major u.s. city.
