it seems that no matter how successful i am in life (family, career, social, money, etc...) it doesn't matter to my mother......her comment is always something like "when are you going to do something about the truth".

i get so agrivated that i want to scream!!

i have explained to her that i no longer believe the governing body to be directed by god - she knows i don't believe it is the truth any longer - yet every few months she says "when are you going to do something about your life" - it's like she's talking to a recovering drug addict just coming out of rehab with no job and nowhere to live.....do something about your life..........she just doesn't get it.

On the brighter side of things--------------at least she TALKS to you!! I haven't heard on single word from ANYONE on my dad's side of the family in 11yrs. I haven't heard from my own father since Aug. (I think it has to do with the K. Ministry that month)

I know what she says isn't very supportive, but at least she will talk to you, alot of us here don't even have that.

i was on another thread today reeming out pomegranite when he replied back with"why do you get so angry and bitter with the way i feel"?

he said"do i hurt you or others".

he really made me think.

before i pose the ?

i want to give some history of the situation.. last yr..................... i was engaged to a guy and he went back to doing speed and stealing from me and my son.

he abandoned us in the townhome cause of people who had set up camp in the house waiting for his return ( he owed them $).

I guess loving myself was something I thought I had overcome. I thought I did but I need to do a better job. Thank you all for your insight and love.

hello my children.

Does It Bother You Too??

my sister who is still a jw called me today and was talking to me about my "situation".

i said to her that i am studing, doing research and trying to find my way and what i believe.. i said how mum said is pleading for me to go back to the meetings and i said to my sister that i cannot make up my own mind if i am at the meetings.

her reply was "the only way you can is at the meetings because that is where you get holy spirit from.".

Honestly, the thought crosses my mind, but that is due to YEARS of mind control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hit the "ignore button"!!!!!
