Climate change. In writings as early as 1883 (and through to the end of his life) Russell repeatedly expressed the view that the world's climate would gradually but significantly change as a prelude to the re-establishment of Eden-like conditions. These changes, he said, would include the gradual melting of the Greenland ice sheet, the Arctic and Antarctic polar ice caps, and the general warming of the earth. [39]
I think His Christian Zionism teachings also explain why jehovah's witnesses seem to mirror judeism in there beliefs.
Christian Zionism. Expanding upon an idea suggested by Nelson Barbour, Russell taught as early as 1879 that God's favor had been restored to Jews as the result of a prophetic "double" which had ended in 1878 (favor from Jacob to Jesus, then disfavor from Jesus until 1878). In 1910, he conducted a meeting at New York's Hippodrome Theater, with thousands of Jews attending. Jews and Christians alike were shocked by his teaching that Jews should not convert to Christianity. Russell believed that the land of Palestine belonged exclusively to the Jewish race, that God was now calling them back to their land, and that they would be the center of earthly leadership under God's Kingdom. Early in Russell's ministry, he speculated that the Jews would possibly flock to Palestine and form their own nation by the year 1910. Shortly before his death, he utilized the Jewish press to stress that 1914 prophetically marked the time when Gentile nations no longer had earthly authority with the result that all Jews were, from that time onward, permitted and guided by God to gather to Palestine and boldly reclaim the land for themselves.
edit no I do not think he was correct
so, as some of you know, the dubs in my locale have this story about me and breaking and entering and selling stolen goods, etc.
i've recieved several calls during the last few days.
they've even stopped at my job, again.
say nothing anything you say can be used against you in court
i think i would've probably tolerated the religion if "conscience" really did play a role in the religion.
there are many people in religions that do not believe every thing that is taught, yet they are still members in good standing.
of course, jehovah's witnesses aren't like that.. you have to believe it all or you will be "no longer considered a jehovah's witness".
if they allowed for dissent among the members with regards to some of their theology possibly. I never was able to agree with their view as to dates etc. Furthermore if they allowed for a mechanism for disagreement, that would truly be considered by their upper level hirachy i would feel that at least we had a voice. One good example of this is the 2 witness rule regarding child abuse. They should have allowed for the rank and file to voice there opinion without reprecussions. They are so controling , that they alianated me as well as many others with their iron clad policies. They are afraid of any outside research or secular education. Why? because they know that a person trained to have a secular critical mind will poke vast holes in their policies.
many mainstream christian religions do offer mechanisms for expressing dissent and it is viewed as healthy. Here is a reference to baptists

describing your personality in writing is a challenging task.
they say that body language represents 85% of our communication, obviously you cant see my face as i give this account.
the following might probably make me sound like a prideful person, but ill like to say that im far from that.
ah much clearer after reading the next part of your story thanks

I am confused , in another post you claimed to be an elder " I’m a very active elder."
On this thread you say you are a MS who was blocked from being an elder. Did i miss something ?
I am just looking for a little clarification :)
the book study is one of the most useless meetings.
the same books have been studied 3 or 4 times.the meeting takes only an hour but takes up most of your evening.
and, it is one of the least attended meetings.. why haven't they combined the watchtower study with just question and answer and then follow with the book study with just question and answer?
he he it has been accomplished , it is gone
hmm Many scientists (including Einstein) define a fourth dimension as time
judge for yourself.

I know people who where in the camps. To deny the holocaust is lunacy and a poor attempt at revisionist history.
after reading about puternuts (ari) suicide, and also reading about sabine and js losing their daughter to this cult, i think it would be a fitting memorial, so to speak, to write a list of all the people we know who died because of this cult.
i also know that cruzanheart lost her dad to it, too.
i'm sure there are many here that can make a list of suicides brought on by the shunning/threatening policies of the watchtower cult.
JOHN MAUER he was an educated man. A scientist who later went into teaching. This poor man never got over the death of his wife in childbirth. She had refused a blood transfusion due to JW doctrine. I do not think he ever forgave himself for allowing it. He was ministarial servent.
