  I agree with most of the thoughts here, however, I think everyone fails to realize that 99% of the JW's do not THINK about what they hear or read.

  The active ones who actually pick up on this are probably looking for something.

  I know when I was in, everything "made sense" until I thought about it. Once you realize it is crap you will find all the inaccuracies.

  The other advantage to the dubs is it is a statement that can be referenced years down the road for whatever reason they want.

  Swine Flu world epedemic Lies! Remember Sars and Birdflu nothing happened!

  what's with the damn media panic?

  swine flu is gonna wipe out the world!.....like the witnesses i'm tired of these lies, sars and bird flu were not that huge....a year ago a scientist said birdflu would be the next "spanish influenza" killing millions......hello, i'm still here wearing a gas mask!.

  Our two top Pioneers were disfellowshiped for immorality this week!

  sitting at the meeting this week the brother on stage said elder a_____ has an anouncement....we all know what that means disfellowshiping!

  {this elder i spoke with before the meeting and he did look stressed} "brother b______ is no longer a jehovahs witness" sister c____ is no longer a pioneer and has been reproved..." wtf!

  brother a ____ spends every waking moment witnessing, he's alittle irratating with every sentence containing the term "jehovah.

  Not in florida my friend. You should have said "poontang is easier to get WITH coke or meth;)

  The Official What happened at the Memorial thread

  i thought rather than everyone start their own topic relating their experience of attending the memorial, we keep it simple and have just one thread.

  if anything, it's saves bandwidth.. i will be going to the memorial tonight and will post my experiences afterwards.. all the other memorials i attended, i was an active jw, so this will be my first experience as a submarine witness.

  it's weird being on the other side so to speak.

  I had told the wife, my kids. siblings and my parents I wasn't going. Interestingly enough a work-mate told me to go. He said marriage is about compromise. So when I got home my 10 year old asked me to go and I couldn't say no. He said "Dad, I know you won't go to any more meetings but at least come to the memorial" What could I do? I went.

  About the letter that was read- Interestingly the Governing Body mentioned the "disciples" when it should have said the "Apostles". It was a clear case of them twisting facts to guilt and shame the suckers who are buying into this crap.

  who go ONLY to the memorial???

  i was planning on going to a meeting or two with my wife.......maybe one or two a month.....but if i do...... i still really do not want to ever go to another memorial......they have weirded me out for years and most of jw friends know that........but you know once you skip a memorial it is like you are marked for death already....i mean word gets around fast "omg...i just heard oompa did not go to the memorial!

  so how is this gonna fly if i go to a couple of meetings a month, but skip the memorial?

  and if was gonna try to appease my wife by going to some meetings.......should i just bite the bullet and go to the memorial........and then maybe only do the memorial?......i always thought that was sooo funny that we had a bunch of once a year jw's.........they loved coming and rejecting jesus every year..........oompa.

  Oompa,

  I like your idea. I'd skip the memorial if my wife wouldn't freak out. If you skip the memorial but only go to a couple meetings, it will be evident that you are just supporting your wife and they should leave you alone. Go to the memorial and they might think there is hope for you yet.

  I've got pneumonia

  after a week-long battle of what i thought was a bad case of upper respiratory infection, i decided to get checked out by my doctor.

  after a chest x-ray, it's confirmed that i have pneumonia.

  i feel horrible.

  I had pneumonia once. I prayed to Jehober, signed up to pioneer and I was cured.

  You now know what you need to do Sacolton!

  BIG NEWS! Leader of German Watchtower History Archives Resignes and Leaves Branch Office!

  johannes wrobel, the founder of the watchtower history archives in germany, responsible for the stand firm-video and the stand-firm-exhibitions resigned in november 2008 and left the german branch office.

  he was also the responsible person for many of the wt sponsored websites on jw in the 'third reich'!.

  there are no further details known yet but this could be big news!.
