  i swear, jehovah's witnesses only come when i'm hanging out in sweatpants and a tank top with no bra on.

  if i am wearing a bra, they don't come.

  very annoying that they are now using false pretenses to get themselves an open door!

  I've always thought the "we're on a mission from God" pretense is a bit of a whopper in itself.

  LOL, I remember getting really "upset" at the door once because a wayy too hot/wayy to scantily clothed young girl who smelled like fresh sex came to the door and flirted with whoever I was there with (I was pretty passive in the service).

  The "brother" that did the talking didn't seem phased and then as we walked away made some comment about how she wasn't dressed appropriately I liked how she was dressed, wasn't completely sure why at age 11-12 or so, but I LIKED IT. Enough to grab the magazines out of his hands and offer to do the next door as the explanation for why I wanted to carry them. *cough* stiffy camo *cough*

  Finding 10,000 pissed off ex-Dubs ought to be cinch!!!

  I've just started reading Crisis of Conscience. In the early pages there is some discussion about the "turnover" and the actual DECLINE in numbers in America. If I recall correctly the "turnover" meaning lost individuals (not to death) was like 14% per year.

  That would pretty easily mean that there are more Ex-JWs than JW's. Can anyone back me on that.

  We should seek to organize 1 million JW's.

  Sunday's WT Study Article (May 18)

  this sundays watchtower lesson is titled who is wise and understanding among you?.

  its mostly a rehash of past material concerning the need to be cooperative with fellow christians for the peace of the congregation.

  however, i suspect that whole point of this study article is actually contained in paragraph 14 where it talks about elders who might be removed from their position if they are deemed by the body and the co as no longer meeting the scriptural qualifications laid out for the position.

  A culling of the Elder flock makes sense in light of the canceling of the Book Study. The elders are also probably the most fxxxable of the flock. They can not only install some fear and discipline in the flock and make an example of weak ones, but a good fraction of the fxxxed will probably take it and show faith in the face of humiliation. Nice.

  Not how I'd run my cult, but I'm sure it works.

  The 2008 Grand Boasting Session Ahead

  well, the time is almost here--already.

  the first of the 2008 grand boasting sessions is almost upon us, and i expect to begin seeing threads about the programs in the coming weeks.

  notably, this means some children will be missing the last weeks of school (the program starts on friday), or at least one day of it, to attend.. i will be looking for any new rules and instructions that have not yet happened.

  i received the may 1, 2008 watchtower yesterday.

  my husband was reading through the article entitled gods power revealed in the stars.

  they included pictures of stars and galaxies and one of the pictures just happened to be pleiades star cluster!

  Are active JW's seeing the light?

  i ask this because i had a strange experience this week.

  for a brief bit of background knowledge i'm being shunned like most on here, but i see witnesses every day in my place of work and at the school gate, there's no avoiding them, and like many of you, i've found it really hard to get over the hurt and heartache this has caused.. yesterday my mum (an active witness) went into hospital to have a tumor removed (successfully) as i'm the only daughter nearby to help, the other witnesses were asking the elders what they were supposed to do if they wanted to visit my mum and i was at her bedside, should they talk to me or turn round and go out again.. one elder said to do that would be utterly ridiculous, of course i should be spoken to.

  he was very annoyed even at the suggestion.
