Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread
by Simon inthis topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.
latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.
the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

Why doesn't the wt discuss the real reason many partake?
by nowwhat? init has nothing to do about feeling chosen or ruling in heaven, but rather many feel it's a command for all christians, that by partaking you are accepting christ as their saviour!

I know whats happening, once the anointed are up in heaven for awhile it gets known that some weren't virgins after all and god gives them the boot.

The JWS religion just many others is just an individualistic interpretation of the bible and then stamped and presented as the true and accurate interpretation.
In other words bullshit wrapped in a righteous sacred bow.
The WTS for decades proclaimed that the numbers would decrease as the anointed ones died from 1935 forward.
Well instead the number of partakers has increased exponentially over the years.
So what do the GB members do ? call many of those partakers now mentally delusional and ironically most GB members are partakers. ....... stupid idiots

i would like to share the following: *** w74 11/15 p. 703 questions from readers ***do lewd practices on the part of a married person toward that one’s own mate constitute a scriptural basis for the offended mate to get a divorce?there are times when lewd practices within the marriage arrangement would provide a basis for a scriptural divorce.. based on this, some jw chose to divorce.

The intentions by the GB men of the WTS have been foiled by the engaging delusion of them having god's holy spirit, sanctification, direction and guidance.
This delusion is not uncommon among religious leaders, what adds to this problem is lack of education on many subjects including ancient human history, sociological human behavior and scientific discoveries.
You can debate bad intentions all you want about certain religoius leaders but the core problem is really about themselves and the subsequent power and control they obtain over people.

as opposed to blind faith/cognitive dissonance and honest mistakes.. i'm inclined to think they have the best of intentions and are just wrong (primarily because the bible is wrong), but i'm willing to consider the evidence otherwise..
