  Financial planning now that the world isn't ending?

  well since the world was always going to come to an end i never really studied much finance.

  anyone have any good advice on getting started?

  any good books that help?

Any knowledge of CD's, IRA's, 401K's, etc? Or just any thoughts on financial planning for the future after realizing the WT message was BS?

  i really believe this is one of the huge scandals of the wtbts.

  to start, i just posted on the friends topic, a thread on the 07 circuit assembly.

  i received replys that made me think of how if children could not be bapticed, how that alone could have blunted some of the disfunction in our lives.

  has the idea ever been brought up of a group breaking away from wts & forming some sort of reformed jw church that isn't so controlling.

  i'm still trying 2 figure out if this is a pro or anti jw forum but here goes..

  i started studying jw 6 months ago & i do feel i'm growing.

  i think at the rate things are going i'll b babtised in another 6 months.

  Do not get baptized! I wish I hadn't. It puts your life under their control.

  There are so many points you need to take a thorough look at before committing to anything and none of them will be brought up in your study. For example:

  The 607 vs. 587 controversy.

  The child molestation policy.

  The UN ngo scandal.

  False prophecies about 1874, 1878, 1925, 1975, and so on.

  The blood issue- do the Bible verses really apply to transfusions?

  There are many more but this board is a great place to get started doing research.

  however, if he were to pass i was just thinking.

  wouldn't it be great if a huge crowd showed up to his service?

  suicide and explosion at Kingdom Hall on Sat. July 27

  a bizarre explosion at a church east of kansas city killed one man on saturday afternoon.

  atf agents said the explosion at the jehovah's witness' kingdom hall on foggy bottom drive was intentionally set, and that the person who died appears to have committed suicide.

  witnesses described large amounts of smoke pouring out of the building, which they said was just recently completed.

  this is actually a serious question.. when i was a jw, i was taught all kinds of things about how horrible the rcc is.

  i believed it.

  many years after leaving the wts, i began looking into the rcc for myself and discovered that everything i had been told about the rcc by the wts was a lie.
