they constantly contradict themselves rather stupidly with quotes like " the love of the greater number would cool off" and " the tiniest group becoming a mighty nation etc, plus the "the entire world would know about the kingdom of god that only they have been commissioned to dispense" which becomes more of a joke every day the world wide population grows even more, and the huge continued growth of Islam, its either one thing or another, one thing that cant be overlooked is their terrible growth rates in first world nations, no amount of creative accounting can deny this.

Jupiter protects the earth... another example of intellectual dishonesty and an argument against design
by cognisonance ini'm taking a university astronomy course, and i must say it's really fun to read about this field.
anyway, i remember the jws used to use jupiter (and probably still do) as an example for how unique and special our solar system is (and thus designed) -- namely, that jupiter protects the earth from astroids, comets, and meteors.
convincing if one doesn't know any better, especially circa 1994 when jupiter stepped in front of a comet for us... but this isn't the full story!

no! I lasted far less time than I thought I would , baptised in 1988 aged 22 (born in) and for I time I felt quite content and was in for the long haul, the marriage cracks first ( married in 1990) and my own doubts put me on a fade in which I was never going to recover from -

Are JWs "mind trained" to be habitual liars?
by nonjwspouse ini don't mean overly obvious, or otherwise meaning to cause harm, but taught to lie for the purpose of avoidance.
this type of lying can be pervasive in areas of life that are not just to avoid discussions with people who have questions about the jw, etc.
my husband will lie/be deceitful about the silliest, simple things.

two sisters working together and the householder opens the door ever so slightly ajar , the householder apologises and says he would like to invite the pair in but its not convenient at the moment , because the door was only opened ever so slightly the sister offering the presentation could see a body levitate from the floor to the ceiling in the hallway, they made a run for it, naturally only one of the sisters saw the levitation, Dubs on meds, never a good mix!

Cart Witnesses Today - I am not impressed
by pale.emperor injust approached a cart then with two jw girls holding out mags.
they continued chatting to each other about car insurance when i took the watchtower from one of their hands.. ok, so it looks like i'll have to get the ball rolling.
i asked if they were jehovahs witness.

I saw two newbies at their cart in my local town centre recently so I thought I'd pick up a rag and engage in a brief exchange, what an utter waste of time that was, I briefly tried to engage them in a couple of subjects and knew from early on in the interaction that I was wasting my time, they were completely clueless , they were either very new to the WTS or just didn't didnt have even the basic understanding of doctrine/science/world conditions etc, I'll continue to plug away though.
