two things are certain in this life ; death and the fact that the WTS will be around long after we've all gone.

i really hate all these "what if" posts
by nowwhat? inall these hypothetical questions about the organization's demise or what if god did this or that don't do anyone any good.
personal experiences.
info and insight about your congregation, circuit, area and the watchtower itself is what we need.

Pyramid Schemes
by schnell inseveral years ago, i was introduced to a "wonderful" company called fortune hi tech marketing by a brother and his wife.
they had been introduced by a former sheriff who claims he had researched the company and found no leins or judgments, and that former sheriff had been brought in by a pastor.
you can read what happened with fhtm on wikipedia if you so desire.. this whole new idea of multilevel marketing had my brain reeling, though, and soon enough, i actually signed up with none other than prepaid legal.

I remember the Herbalife craze here in the UK all those years back, many Dubs enrolled onto it, during my time as a Dub I never personally knew of any MLM/Pyramid/Ponzi schemes but I believe some years later some being sucked into a few.

Was it Adam who altered his own DNA so that sicknesses & consequent death would be passed on to his offspring?
by deegee inthe blame for mankind's sicknesses/diseases and consequent death has been placed squarely on the shoulders of adam:.
romans 5:12, 17 - 19:"therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—for if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man.......consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people........for just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners........".
1 corinthians 15: 21, 22:"for since death came through a man........... for as in adam all die.......".

logically its more evidence to blow this insane fable out of the water, simply put there was no DNA alteration, they were born that way;imperfect.

born in, 1966, my father was called on a few years before I was born, didn't show too much interest at the outset, then the fervour of the 1975 began, the rest is history

have the many jehovahs witnesses past and present who have lost their lives by refusing blood transfusions due to the prohibition on blood tranfusions by jehovahs witnesses really got the sense of this statement ?.

Fisherman, you are right I am welcome to believe whatever I like in regards to this dreadful policy that your half witted leaders insisted in enforcing, there was also two GB voting sessions on it as well, clearly they were very undecided , but its no big deal poor black jws suffering unspeakable suffering while these idiots sat in absolute untouchable luxury, scum.

great point, the blame can be solely pointed at our wonderful creator, what an abhorrent evil entity,I wonder how the theists explain it?

Fisherman; possession of a Malawi political card did not compromise a JW's neutrality as being in possession of it one was not favouring a particular political party, Malawi was a one party state ruled by a dictator, also Malawians were in receipt of UN aid and the population were required by the UN to posses a card when they went to receive their basic aid. There are an awful lot of pro jw myths about this.

"quick builds" oh the memories, I walked off my last one and vowed never to return when I was a Dub, what an utter waste of everyone's time, terrible shoddy workmanship, a ridiculous over supply of labour, which results in most of the workforce hanging around not doing anything worthwhile at all, just getting in the way, causing hazards and health and safety breaches, thankfully the H&S is taken seriously these days and has brought these farces to resemble proper construction sites, a friend of mine who is a very skilled carpenter was working on The Surrey Assembly Hall on some partitioning when a group of young lads with hammers and bags of nails and with no carpentry experience at all came to join him and made an utter hash of his skilled excellent work, he picked up his tools and never returned, another brother on the same site was installing some pipework, after he completed the task the site manager told him not to bother testing his work! needless to say he never returned either.

dealing with religion after leaving the witnesses
by joker ini’ve noticed many people posting on this site seem to have completely given up on religion/spirituality.. but some have attended services at another religion, or just follow their own heart regarding what to believe.. my question is how does anyone deal after leaving with all of the witness crap that we believed about babylon the great, the great harlot, spiritual prostitute, etc., etc.
i’m finding out that i seem to have built myself a pretty solid wall regarding religion.. some people can just chuck all beliefs into one basket saying that they are all basically garbage,,, and that is ok, no problem i respect that.. but for myself there is a certain part of my personality that needs a spiritual belief not like the witnesses in any way, but something to meditate on, and contemplate.. being a witness taught me how bad it is to actually think of god in any other way besides what the jw’s believe.
and now when i attend any other service, the dark jw side seems to pop out and seriously makes me believe that everything i see/do/say is wrong.

in the very early years of me leaving I had a very good friend(RIP) who was an evangelical christian, he invited me to his church a couple of times, and I never went again,it just wasn't for me, I've not set foot in a church since, well over 20 years, and I cant say my life is any poorer for it.
