It's the same with my husband's 401k. We have lost at least a quarter of it. Makes you wonder sometimes what is the point in trying to save for retirement.

Hey there Barbie Doll, Why not send us some of the nice warm weather? It is so yucky here and it probably won't get any better for a few days.
Oh well, we've actually been pretty lucky this winter, this being the first major ice storm of the season and hopefully the one and only.

Should I tell my wife the meeting has been cancelled?
by JimmyPage intechnically it hasn't but we did have an ice storm.
if i told her i got a call that there was no meeting maybe she'd stay home and watch "american idol" or something fun heheh.
personally i think it should automatically be cancelled for the elderly's sake.

I'll bet your wife is smart enough to realize how dangerous it would be to get out for a meeting during an ice storm anyway, so you probably won't have to say a thing.

Pair of pears

while there, my wife got 3 pears for our friend at work - who likes to eat them.. anyway... when we got them back to work - and i was walking back to my office, i made the quip, "we only got a pair-and-a-half of pears.".
my wife - always the first to correct me said, "no... we got 3 pears.".

So far today we have freezing rain, sleet, snow,more freezing rain. Really am getting tired of it. But have been able to read a scary book entitled"Don't Scream". It has been a really good book so far. What kind of books do some of you out there enjoy on a cold winter day?

Do you have any sick days you could use? To me it's just not worth the risk of getting in an accident.Be really careful if you do have to get out.Let us know how it turns out.
