I was hauled into the backroom to meet with the whole body of elders to address a situation that had occurred over me and another elder. I had, apparently, caused him to storm out of the hall at previous meeting but I knew I was on safe ground!

They wanted to know what it was all about so I told them to ask him, the vanishing elder ... I had done nothing.

He was forced to apologise to me - and everything was going well until they said, "Do you accept his apology Hotspur?" I said, "I can't, as I don't really know what he's apologising for". (I knew there was lots this guy was hiding but nobody could nail him). It took around 10 minutes of obfuscation before it came about that he told the body he thought I was going to hit him after he wouldn't answer a question I had. Now, I have to say that was I felt like doing but knew that wouldn't go well!

Eventually, he called me a slanderer. You'd think that would be the end of it until another elder said,

"Just accept his apology Hotspur. After all, Jesus was called a slanderer and blasphemer".

I took great delight in replying, "Not by his believers and Apostles though".

There was stunned silence until the, then, PO said (trying to address the whole 2 year problem), "Hotspur, do you ever consider you're running ahead of Jehovah?" My reply was, "Yes, I did think that, then I concluded it's not me. Have you ever considered you're lagging behind him?"

The pleasure was immense - the consquence of this simple truth was dire!

Another Point Against Disfellowshipping (Even the WT can't deny)

i have been shifting some ideas around and the threat of disfellowshipping may actually help me in this instance.

if you've read my other posts, you know why it is i'm on here.

and you know that i am adamant.. but in the research of disfellowship, i've tried thinking of good, alternate arguments or points of reasoning before pressing the red button.

Based on the NT statement that "unless the days are cut short, no flesh will be saved" how come we are this far down the path of time with nothing happening? In fact, it must be worse because the "lifesaving work" is getting bigger by the minute!

There is a massive contradiction in terms of 'cutting short the days' and the amount of work to be done - and that is growing exponentially as the birth rate increases. To my mind the longer it goes on (not cut short) then the chances of survival are reduced. To the ultimate state of total extinction. Yet, God wants all to live.

So, just what, or when, is the tipping point?

Don't understand why anybody can subscribe to the GB's continued promulgation of old timescales! 1914 and the Generation thing is blowing itself out of the water.

Me too Cedars... as you say, he has had opportunities but he has only managed to convince me his own delusions are wrapped up in publicity and showmanship.

The downside from his perspective should be that his credibility has taken a huge knock. The upside should be that he learn from that then 'fallback and regroup'! Unfortunately, I don't think he is capable of that or even willing - which is the biggest problem with over-inflated egos. How ever well intentioned the objectives are seen to be, credibility should be maintained at all times. Something koolaidman has consistently failed to achieve.

Enough from me too.... thanks everybody for your thoughts and input. (BTW - still no PM)

Well, there's the first problem... You included me!

Then click, scroll down and listen for the first 10 minutes ... somebody did that earlier and has come to the same conclusion as dozens of others. Balloney, foul, fake ... you name it, it is anything other than truth!

Still smells of bovine waste and still no PM!

Oh and I never knew SPAM smelled the same as bovine waste!

Going back to a Kingdom Hall

part of my 'rebirth' after my leaving jws was to rediscover and undo the 38 missing years of my love of music.. before i was baptised i was playing a trumpet in bands and orchestras... then came the empty years (we all know the stories).. long story short, i relearned my instrument through a music school.

from there i joined a brass band, but recently we moved house and it was some way from the band i played in.

so, i searched for a new band and found one more local to me... they even have their own band room.

It may be smile to think of the genres of music being played in there too... enough to make that Evil Judge turn in his grave - and long may he rotate!

Well, I attended my first rehearsal... I have to say - it was weird! Despite the fact that it contained all the parapernalia of it's Band usage you could tell it was once a Kingdom Hall. I did shudder!

I never started this thread to cyberbully anybody... I just followed a link to a site, read what I did and came to the conclusion that, with the simple evidence presented as it was, it is impossible that JtB could not be or hasn't been exposed. Now whether that was as a fraud or a genuine (naive) double agent is up for debate.

What is patently clear ... one word from Rick would put the whole thing to rest. Instead, we have the attention he most obviously craves and I'm sorry I've given him the platform to pursue it... sorry folks.

If it had been me who had been put on notice to "quell the riot over JtB" I believe I would've told the truth, however painful.

I guess we now have enough evidence to state unequivocally that JtB is a fraud - a figment of the imagination of an attention seeker who seems to have a money-making agenda. My apologies to all who have had to endure this yet again.
