i don't want to be disrespectful or cause needless disputes, but there are some thoughts that have been bugging me.
i have to wonder why former members aren't doing more to combat the power of the watchtower society.
of course, i realise that some have made great contributions and others have to first make their own healing process a priority.
Yes, if we don't act and if we just lick our wounds.

every time we enter a new year, i think about how i wasn't supposed to make it this long.
i really believed we wouldn't live past the year 2000, and armageddon would change everything.
it almost strikes me as living on borrowed time, but then i remember that armageddon is a story, not a reality.
We have to induce Armageddon then. Armageddon is a state of mind.

do you think a witness is more apt to leave the wts because:.
1) ....of indisputable proof of the wts's falsehoods.. or.
2) .....something that personally happened to them that caused a disenchantment w/ the organization.. thanks for you input!.
2...then 1...
Very well said, Quentin. I think you were once an elder. You're a philosopher.
i then asked her if she agreed that the bible is very clear that no one knows the time or the hour.
so i told her that i feel that the gb made a mistake and they should be humble enough to admit to it.
they made a mistake and they should appologise and be humble about it.
Dictionary.reference.com has this definition of broadsheet -- "a newspaper printed on large paper, usually a respectable newspaper"
Thanks, Hubert! I've a brother named just like yours.

Write to them in a broadsheet, preferably, one whole page. That way they'll be forced to answer back in public.
I was just about to say that the root word is "dumb", but pronounced with a silent "m".
Can you please increase my number of posts per day? I can only post five. Someone, help me please!
my mother in law was diagnosed with breast cancer in october.
had the surgery and they found it metastized to the lungs.
she is doing chemotherapy now, but the cancer is spread pretty wide and thus an organization called making memories has given her a one last wish grant of $6000.
To tell everybody on my deathbed a secret: I know who God is and where He is. He's already here. I'll reveal to them.
after discovering what you have about the watchtower society would you ever consider going back to the jw's?
Only if I'm given the presidency of the Watchtower. No more house calls. I'll turn it into a multinational business-process-outsourcing enterprise, in short, call centers.

Australia has a special place in my heart. I want to share with you this poem written during one of the lowest chapters of my life. My only advice is, please don't cry for me.
Waterroo
A gift for Australia and the children of the world
Edited by Adrienne Barnathan (Australian)
I dreamt of Australia,
Land of the zoo
With many a rah
and many a roo;
Where kangaroos leap
and emus skip;
Where koalas cuddle
and cockatoos cackle;
Where barramundis swim
and dingoes teem;
Where kookaburras laugh
and wallabies hop;
Where echidnas probe
and wombats rove;
Where opossums fake
and bandicoots rake;
Where budgerigars tweet
and crocodiles seethe;
Where platypuses ‘plash
and Tasmanian devils crash.
An island continent
where cows are content.
A land so vast –
’twas snubbed by the Dutch.
The land where lies Uluru,
a protean plateau;
Where lies Kakadu
with many a cockatoo;
Where lies Kogarah
with all the birds’ brouhaha;
Where lies Canberra,
Seat of the zoo’s chimaera;
Where lies Darwin,
evolution still a-ragin’;
Where lies Darling,
still a-weeping;
Where lies
the Great Dividing Range
Between me and the range;
Where lies
the Great Barrier Reef,
impossible to leap;
Where lies Timbuktu,
a mountain to climb through;
Where lies Waterroo
of my dream untrue.
