another family destroyed by jehovahs happy organization

as i sit down and type this i have realized that if i could have seen into the future and known that this post would need to be created (for my own peace of mind anyway) i know i would have never given the jws a minute of my time.

a little background: i have been a jw for 20 years and found a wonderful woman in the religion she was a pioneer when i met her, an elders girl but that did not matter to me , it was and always has been her compassion and love for people that endeared me to her and we have been happily married for almost my 20 year tenure as a jw.

we have several children one of them is a teenage boy.

walking back from town today we saw two old ladys and i said "good morning" my child said " are those ladys the ones in that religion that come and talk to you about something but i dont know what ?

" i said they were not but she started to ask about grandma again(jw grandma that has not visited for 18 months , her disfellowshipped dads mother .

) it was quite difficult to answer some of her questions and i told her daddy and i dont want to be in the religion because they dont let you see your family who leave the religion (amongst other reasons !

it was quite moving yes ! she is very christian despite not being jw !!!!!

(i think she meant nonsense not nuisance !) bless her ! wish i could have taped her for grandma ! she also said" if your in that religion when im a grown up and cant come to see me , i will still come to see you " now thats a tricky one ! i replied that nothing would ever stop me coming to see her so not to worry about it !

My JW mothers opinion of disfellowshiped people!

so a little background i am not dissfellowshiped and my sister stayed in for awhile though so she's treated like she is!.

this is the most disturbing conversation i have ever had with my mother and for the first time i see clearly how deep the control on my mothers mind is!.

my friends jw mum once said to her disfellowshipped daughter that the guy who abused my daughter and others in the cong was not a exactly a paedophile ! (he got 3 years in prison ) victims were between 11 and 16 ! but he "loves the truth" so that makes him ok ! what a brainwashed moron ! you cant reason with people like that , im sorry that shes your mum , live your life and pity her !

this man is a ex minservant who was disfellowshipped years ago for an affair with his daughters friend (he married the girl eventually ) about 5 years before he was disfellowshipped he was reprooved for child sex abuse and kept in the cong ,then went on to abuse again another jw girl (that didnt get found out about at the time .

) a few years after that he abused my child , a non jw in court he was only sentenced for a few "smaller " charges but got off with a lot of things concerning all 3 victims which he had denied !

all the victims had not seen eachother in years and stories colloberated with eachother !

a sphere , thankyou for your kind words , it is just what i feared actually and as for those guys who abused their own daughters it is so wicked that they got away with it ! and i can identify with the daughters ,as i feel so mad that some judge me as bad for leaving "the truth" and think abuser is ok because he still believes its the truth ! crazy people ! i personally think the elders will be quite pissed off with him , that is the impression i got off them anyway ,when i asked why they never reported him years ago for abuse . and i dont think his family are highly thought of so i dont think that would make a difference , but i can imagine him back "in the truth" one day as he always talked "the talk " even while abusing and raping his friends children !

In these Last Days (of mine) High Anxiety. Critical Times. Hard to deal with

i really have been trying to fade quickly and with little amount of noise or rukus!.

this past month has proven to be one of the most stressfuly ever.. my mom and i are 'discussing' just about everyday me not going to the meetingsand my reasons why.. she keeps pushing me to go.

even tonight asked me to go with her to her.

you poor love ! its so unfair that you have to cope with all that rubbish on top of "normal " teenage problems ! you dad sounds just like a girl i used to know in "the truth"s dad , very good at judgeing how bad "worldly " men are but not taking a good look at themselves and their own past conduct ! get a copy of steve hassans book off amazon about combatting cult mind control , read it ,then leave it on the coffee table and go out for hours , im sure your mum would read it , please dont think all "worldly" men are bad , it is not true at all , i found that men in the truth were no different to normal men just acted a role that was expected of them ! keep strong and focused on your future free of the cult , there are a lot of nice "worldly" people out there , talk to your doctor who may refer you for counselling , all the best xxx
