when my disfellowshipped hubby was "going back" years ago before we got wed , he was told not to talk to another disfellowshipped lad who was also "going back" they had once pioneered together once and couldnt ignore eachother (neither got reinstated ) i knew a lad who was brought up a witness but never got baptised and married a "worldley" girl , she was annoyed that a bloke who had been disfellowshipped for years (for an affair with his daughters friend,a pioneer ) had said to her husband "your poor mother must despair of you " what a hypocrite ! this guy was sent to prison for child sex abuse a few years after saying that !

(after all, they could talk to each other).
but many would "treat" other disfellowshipped just like the witnesses would.

by VampireDCLXV inmost of us here know what a hypocritical, backstabbing bunch of gossips many of the jw's tend to be.
far too often, a jw wont tell you to your face what's eating them, but they'll sure tell others.
when i started waking up (the second time around) this made me very paranoid.

there has been a few , but the worst one was that i got my child to make up sexual abuse over a long period of time ,and even though two jw women came forward also with claims they were also abused by the same man , a few in the congregation have still slandered me and not the paedophile ! even after he was sent to prison , im worse than him because im "apostate " cant reason with morons like that ! even the elders were on my side (or maybe trying to keep me sweet , knowing the damage to the org i could cause !)

years ago when i was at school age about 13 , there was a lad my friend said she liked , when she pointed at him i said "you wont stand a chance , he is gay " i could tell just by looking at him . (i was not a jw )a jw kid then told me "hes not gay , he is a jehovahs witness " fast forward 12 years to my involvement with the cult and i asked where the lad from school was nowadays , he had been disfellowshipped but nobody would say why ! eventually i found out he was indeed gay !

will jehovahs witnesses make me a permanant "do not call "
by looloo in2 nice ladys called on me the other day , as one started her "speach" the other one looked embarresed , i interupted and said to the embarresed one "you know why im not interested in your religion ,dont you " she replied "yes im sorry i couldnt rember which one you lived in " (i had met her at my door some months ago , and explained that my daughter was raped as a child by a man i had met at the kingdom hall , and some jws support him despite him abusing other jws etc , i had told of the paedpphile problem in the religion and my jw inlaws dont visit my little girl because her daddy is a disfellowshipped man , which i think is very unchristian) the other lady then started admiring my dress , then my little girl appeared and she said how pretty she was etc, i said goodbye and closed the door , i wish i had heard what the 2nd lady had said to her friend in explanation for why i was not interested !
the annoying thing is my little girl then wanted to know who they are and what did they want to talk about , so i explained they were in "that religion that grandma is in "that stops her coming to see daddy , which upset her , then hubby came back from work later in a good mood untill i told him of the visit that had upset our little girl and then he was moody with me and said "dont talk to them again , next time tell them to be made a "do not call " for ever and never ever review it !is it possible to do that in our situation ?
i dont want my family life upset .

i saw them a couple of ours later after they had obviously finished door knocking , 4 of them were walking along heads down , not talking looking as miserable as sin (not the happy smiling faces that had been presented to me earlier !) i felt sorry for them and how dull their lives must be . thanks all for your comments , a sign is a good idea .

i start to shake when i know they are at my door or i see them in the street , but im always polite to them ,as i pity them because i remember the fear i lived with each day as a study and the feelings of not being worthy enough ! some really get on my nerves though ! thats usually the self righous young ones who were born in and know nothing about anything but think they are superior simply because they are a jw !

"there are things they just dont want us to know about " amish girl speaking
by looloo ini have been watching a series on sunday evenings at 8pm about some amish teens who went over to the uk for a month to mix with various teenagers with different backgrounds , it was so moving to see a girl of about 18 who had never even seen the ocean playing in the waves like a small child , she had a great time .
she was later talking of her strict up bringing which made the jws seem quite tame !
and talked of the womens role in the religion and education was not allowed and said those words "there are some things they just dont want us to know about " why dont alarm bells ring when people hear that kind of thing ?

good point zid , i thought she was very similar to a young woman i knew in jw land with dissapproving looks at the other teenagers at times but also feeling sorry about them going to hell (dying at armageddon in jw land ) i felt like she had potential at times to escape her beliefs from the things she said but could not imagine her being able to survive in the real world , very sad and the similarities between amish and jws was amazing in fact if i had to choose the religion that really lived apart from the world jws would not get a look in !
