i recently watched the borat movie.

i was a bit disappointed but i saw one scene on tv which is not part of the movie that impressed me.

"borat" made a whole bunch of americans sing an anti-semitic song and nobody was thinking about what they were doing.

I know if several cases (including mine) that the wifes actually asked the PO/CO to come and lamented that nobody cared about their spouses.

This is a great place. Some years ago, we would not even have a chance to hear about each other, now we can even give comfort to each other. The internet can tear totalitarian systems down and get humans closer together - despite where they are.

Watchtower increases pace of accelerated change

it's not even april yet, and the watchtower society is revving up it's change at an alarming pace.. this year, the changes have all been big.. first, they announce that there will be two editions of the watchtower - a private edition for members only with only the study articles in and a public edition with no articles.

the 24 elders may be involved in communicating divine truths to the governing body.

the long held teaching that 1935 is the cutoff date for selection and gathering of the anointed has gone the way of the 1914 generation change in a convenient "questions from readers" article.. you cannot wear casual clothes after the convention, even if going out to eat.. .

Oh, it already is comparing it with the organization of the Bible Students, the 40s, the 50s and so on. It is changing constantly and has re-used the same mechanics each time and is relying on the limited human life span and the limits of human memory.
