first you have to have an appreciation for the fact that it is an art form.. like an appreciation of music....endless possibilities...... then you have to start with good fresh bread, if you don't have that, you won't hit perfect.

I made an incredible sandwich the other day... buttered, toasted ciabatta bread with salmon, special sauce, tartar sauce, muenster cheese, jalapeno cream cheese and alfalfa sprouts. Tasted a whole lot better than it sounds.

i have noticed that when such subjects are discussed there is an automatic assumption that those who don the uniforms of their respective nations, they somehow are automatically walking on a higher moral ground.. i find it all the more puzzling that those who cry the loudest for 'special' treatment for soldiers, and by special i mean as compared to the rest of the working masses, seem to be of an republican bent.

The judgement lies in the decision. Think about it. A person decides to wear a uniform, he must take responsibility for his actions.
The judgment does NOT lie in their decision. As you have clearly stated, the judgment lies in YOUR personal opinion of what consitutes a "moral war." And if you decide the war is not "moral", the judgment on the soldier is made. What kind of world are you envisioning in which soldiers simply "opt out" of wars they aren't particularly enthusiastic about?

You have assumed that regardless of the reason for a person wearing that uniform, they have automatically been given the higher moral ground for doing so.
Wearing the uniform counts for little; living up to a difficult committment at great personal cost counts for more.
Why you refuse to respect even battle-proven dedication and courage is, I'm sure, baffling to most observers.

Witnesses taught that religion was a "snare and a racket" until 1950, when they decided to become a religion themselves.
They taught that God would make black people white in the New World.
They criticize the Catholic Church for teaching until 1873 that the "curse of Ham" resulted in the black race. The WTS does not admit that it taught the same thing well into the 20th century.
They taught that God lives in the Pleiades.
In 1960 they suggested that God would use "cosmic rays" to drive his enemies insane, and antimatter to destroy the world at Armageddon. In 1971 they proposed he would use antimatter to dispose of the billions of corpses after Armageddon. Now they teach that the lucky survivors will get to bury them.
EDIT: Almost forgot, one of the best ones: The Witnesses introduced their own calendar so they wouldn't have to use a calendar with pagan names for months and days. It never caught on, so the Witnesses still use our pagan calendar and apparently are no longer bothered by it.

They say they are doing a lifesaving work by preaching to people.
When confronted with the fact that many people have still not heard their message, they respond that "God can read hearts."
So how can they say their work is lifesaving?
i think political correctness started the trend of dumbing down.

I will admit that one of Terry's points seems to be self-contradictory.
The mongoloid children in the same class as the "normies" leads to less opportunity for the normies. As Terry says, "Consequently, those parents who can afford to--put the advanced students in special magnet schools where they can achieve at their own pace."
To my mind, that seems to be the logical and desirable result of that situation. As Terry says, we live in a world of winners and losers, the successful and unsuccessful. The cream rises to the top, does it not?
So when you have enjoyed success as the result of your efforts, and you don't want your intelligent child drug down by mongoloids, you exercise the power gained by your success and spend the extra money to obtain a better education for your progeny.
The public school system provides FREE education. If you don't like the education provided, you are welcome to purchase the alternate education of your preference. If you cannot afford this, you will have to make do with whatever quality of FREE education your more successful contemporaries are financing for you.
