How concentrated are the JWs in your area? What are the odds of running into them while out?
The friends in question are not in my home congregation area.
The people who might see me are Witnesses (who know me) from
several congregations away. They would have to recognize me,
and my DF'd friend/s, and then report me to my home cong. elders.

decided that I have several friendships that are worth more to me than
carefully playing by the fading rules.

Comments like "to say that whales turn into cows or cows turn
into whales in my estimation is also a con" makes me suspect
that perhaps you don't.

What do you feel is the most compelling argument FOR evolution?
Even if you have an admitted bias towards creation of some sort
(which I appreceate the honesty in admiting this, BTW), if you are
truly "on the fence" about evolution, there must be some aspect
of evolutionary theory you find compelling.
What are you favorite pro-evolution books you have read?
I ask becuase the "pro" books you mentioned, only "Origin"
was from a scientfic perspective, and I found "Origin" to be
rather dense reading. So, if you understand evolution enough
to argue for it after reading just those books, props to you.
However, I assume those are not the only popular-science
type evolution books you have read, seeing as we have
established that you are a prolific reader.

after having been raised in the jehovah's witnesses for 44 years ( getting out 6 years ago ) i have now come to peace with my view of what i personally feel about the existence of god , or no god, or whatever is flying around up there in outer space.
i am basically agnostic for sure / perhaps leaning atheist and i've come to that decision based on the years and years of unfulfilled false promises of being in a mind control cult ( jehovah's witnesses ) claiming to represent an alleged " god " or " jehovah " saying there would be a paradise, and armageddon to destroy 99% of the earths population.
also- i enjoy helping others without thought of being rewarded for it.
