  Our congregation's numbers are down. Yippie-kay-yay!

  so, we had the co visit and he told us what undeserving we are.

  compared with his last visit, all our numbers are down: less publishers, less hours, less studies, less magazines, less meeting attendance, less baptisms.

  then he proceeded to show us how a simple kid and a grandma that can't even read or write do more than us.

  Their website states:

  "Bethel Coach Tours is a travel store for Jehovah's Witnesses, their family and friends! We are not sponsored nor operated by the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society". http://www.bethelcoachtours.com/english.htm

  What I find interesting is that apparently they work for "Jehovahs witnesses only". And is kind of fishy that Bethel hasn't complained about this company...

  What are your thoughts?

  having been raised in the truth, i thought that i had all the answers in the watchtower publications.

  but as i started really reading the bible without filters, a lot of stuff started to appear that made no sense to me.

  1) genesis 2:2: and by the seventh day god came to the completion of his work that he had made, and he proceeded to rest on the seventh day from all his work that he had made.. .

  JosephMalik: I found your comments pretty interesting. As you know, JW teaches that Jesus was the ONLY being that Jehovah created directly. As the Universe is sooo big, it makes sense to me that millions of angels probably helped! If not, what were they doing?? Just watching and clapping??

  Hello everyone!

  Having been raised in the Truth™, I thought that I had all the answers in the Watchtower publications. But as I started really reading the bible without filters, a lot of stuff started to appear that made no sense to me. For example:

  1) Genesis 2:2: “And by the seventh day God came to the completion of his work that he had made, and he proceeded to rest on the seventh day from all his work that he had made.”

  • In the 7th day “God proceeded to rest”… If Jehovah and Jesus are 2 different entities, why Jehovah needed to “rest from all his work”, if everything was supposed to be created by Jesus, as the “master worker”? (See Pro.8:30)

  2) Genesis 6:5: “Consequently Jehovah saw that the badness of man was abundant in the earth and every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only bad all the time. 6 And Jehovah felt regrets that he had made men in the earth, and he felt hurt at his heart. 7 So Jehovah said: “I am going to wipe men whom I have created off the surface of the ground, from man to domestic animal, to moving animal and to flying creature of the heavens, because I do regret that I have made them.”

  • If Jehovah gave the “first prophecy” about the “seed” before, in the Garden of Eden (see Gen. 3:15), why in the world He “regretted creating humans and animals” later, and was going to destroy everything in the Flood? (if He already promised Jesus to save humanity!!)

  Did you started having doubts about the WT while reading the bible?

  Using their own techniques

  you know how they teach that you should come back to people houses because they circumstances may change and if they may be receptive to the good news(tm)?.

  we know what that means: "if somebody has problems he/she will be vulnerable and may see you as an angel sent by god and they will believe 1914 easily.".

  but here is the twist: why don't use their methods against them?.
